Chapter 14.2

I sat at the edge of the main dock listening to the pattering of people feet against the wood an concrete. MY feet casually dipping and swaying in the nice cool water. Alice sat between my legs back against me, though here feet barely touched the water. Junior plunked down with a hard thump next to me.

“I am coming to watch” he spoke indicating the rising down before us. The purple pink slowly rising above, painting only a few clouds like cotton candy. A settling warmth comes as I enjoy this precious moment with my children. The rise sun comes onto what used to be a ugly morning.

I was thankful that we were able to clean up the ashes and piling away so they would be contained when burning from the sun. The elders and children knew of what happened but did not need to see the terrors that would come. I forced the moments ago memory and snuggled my daughter into me, she gave a giggle and curled up like a ball while still watching the red and now pink fill the part sky of clouds. I wrapped my arm around Junior and brought him to my side. He only rested his head into my shoulder and gave a sigh of contentment. We watched as the new outlined silhouettes boats journeyed out. Towards the horizon seeing how the sea would treat them today.

The sun slowly began to peak out on the line between the two cliffs gates giving it perfect frame of beauty. Though from the sun gave a instant warmth to soak up through my whole body. I hummed in appreciation and gave a squeeze to my children,

“Don’t forget, even when life is tough and you see no end, there will always be light and goodness at the end or around the corner,” I spoke softly.

Junior shifted his head and I looked down to him to see his golden-green eyes stare back at me. “Even when there is darkness so thick to surrender us?” he eyes curious but I could feel his uncertainty.

I nod, “yes, even when darkness thinks it won, Light and good will kick it out.”

He stares but eventually shifted to see the almost half circled of the sun while completely snuggling into me. I take in the moment. But walking footsteps that stomp and almost cause breakage, sends me on edge. “Alice, Junior, I need ot speak with Mama alone” Wolf voice soft yet already I knew where its going.

They begin to stand, as the warm and familiarity leaves from my body but they stop and I turned to see why. Wolf has put his hand up to stop them, “No, you stay, we will leave, enjoy the good” he smiles with kindness and then leans his hand down to me.

I shifted causing my feet out of the water now to go cold instantly as a cool shiver goes up my spine but settles and warmth is now embedded. The creak of wood from the dock ceases but begins the familiarity patter as I take Wolf hand and he guides us down the dick and turns so we now walk across the rocks and sandy beach. The stones are small and only dig into my feet a bit but doesn’t hurt only just annoyance.

Wolf stopped us but doesn’t look at me as his haw ticked and eyes are tired. He is enraged and annoyed but not with me.

“Why did this happen?” he questions, he directed it to the air but I answer.

“Because of a insider and apparently we were not careful.”

Wolf doesn’t reply but huffs a breath shaking his head. I bite my lip, “My vision this morning the similar ones I been having, maybe that why I been having it, to warn us and save the village. The forest was a good indication” I chime hoping it would sooth him.

Wolf only shook his head, “no, I am sorry Asema but, none of our packs member were impaled and our pack does not contain fourteen-two people, we are more than that… I hate to say but it something else.” He whispered the rest already feeling bad for say that.

I squeeze his hand telling him I am okay as the reality kicks in more vision till I solve it and stop the future that becomes a reality. But now I look the now fully risen sun and take in the light as much as I can before darkness wants to win.
