Chapter 367

Gabriel glared at Nancy and it made her shiver.

He coldly reminded her, “You said something right earlier. I love Gina very much, so what she says reflects my thoughts. So stop bothering us.”

Nancy, not daring to anger Gabriel further, halted in her tracks.  S~ᴇaʀᴄh the (ꜰind)ɴʘvel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

After Gina and Gabriel were out of sight, Nancy’s manager finally dared to approach. Seeing Nancy’s dejected look, the manager knew the negotiation had failed and sneered. “You really thought Mr. Jackson would testify for you? Who do you think you are? Dream on.

Nancy had no choice but to abandon hope. She followed her manager back to the company, where Aria called her into the

office.

Nancy remembered Aria was friends with Gina. “Miss Torres, you’re friends with Miss Miller. Please, help me. Please convince Miss Miller to ask Mr. Jackson to testify for me. That way, I can clear my name and reduce my losses.”

Aria was still upset about the previous incident. Despite Nancy being exposed to such scandalous accusations and facing heft compensation demands for breaching contracts, Aria didn’t want the company’s PR department to help her. This was all a result of Nancy’s own actions.

Aria only said one sentence to Nancy, “You got what you deserve.”

Nancy realized Aria had no intention of helping her. The looming compensation for breached contracts and the company’s penalties could be something she’d never repay in her lifetime. She felt despair.

Aria added, “You need to find your own solution. With that, Nancy was dismissed. Nancy was frantic. How could she solve this on her own?

At the Jackson family home, Gabriel brought Gina for dinner with Neil.

Neil cheerfully asked, “Gina, have you and Gabriel thought about having an engagement party? The wedding can come later. but an engagement party would be a good start, right?”

Gabriel also looked at Gina expectantly.

Gina, not opposed to the idea, nodded. “Sure.”

When Neil heard Gina’s answer, he was overjoyed. “Great, let’s pick a good date!”

Neil had Isaac check the calendar. Soon, they decided on the 9th of next month.

This date seems perfect. What do you think, Gina?” Neil focused on Cina’s opinion. His son’s opinion was not important.

Gabriel, of course, would go along with whatever Gina wanted.

“If you think it’s good, then it’s good,” Cina replied.

Neil chuckled and said, “Wonderful. But Gina, when you and Gabriel get married, remember to stop calling me Mr. Jackson. You can call me by my name!”

Gina was a little embarrassed. “I will. When the time comes.

After dinner, Gina stayed over at the Jackson family’s place.

Following Neil’s instructions, Isaac had arranged a guest room for Cina. However, Gabriel didn’t stase in lat knock on Gina’s door,

Cina looked at Gabriel through the partially opened door and asked, “Mr. Jackson, it’s late. Is there something you need?”

Gabriel coughed nervously to cover his unease. “I was worried you might not sleep well, so I came to keep you company”

I’m fine, really,” Gina replied.

Gabriel did not give up. “Well, can I come in for a while? I can’t sleep.”

Gina teased him, “Insomnia?”

Gabriel nodded. “Yeah, missing you keeps me awake.”

Gina chuckled. “Mr. Jackson, do you know your sweet talk is quite cheesy?”

“Then I’ll learn some new lines another day. How about you let me in? You can teach me properly in your room.” Gabriel resorted to any means necessary to enter Gina’s room.

Gina opened the door and let him in. “Fine, come in.”

Gabriel joyfully entered. Then, he immediately embraced Gina and lifted her up.

Gina looked at Gabriel’s face and asked, “What are you doing?”

“Keeping you company,” Gabriel replied as he set Gina down on the bed.

But this position was a bit suggestive.

Avoiding Gabriel’s gaze, Gina said, “You said you’re here to keep me company. Anything beyond that is off–limits.”

Gabriel smiled wryly. “Of course, I always keep my word.”

He then pulled Gina into his arms, and she nestled against his chest.

In the quiet room, enveloped in their embrace, Gina felt a sense of security she had never experienced before. Under the warm glow of the lamp, Gina closed her eyes contentedly. “Gabriel, I’m tired.”

“Then sleep, Gabriel whispered softly.

They slept through the night.

The next day, Gabriel arrived at the Jackson Group office feeling refreshed. Even though he had only cuddled with Gina last night, he felt a sense of happiness as if he was living a married life.

David greeted Gabriel as he arrived. “Mr. Jackson!”

Gabriel nodded in acknowledgment.

David continued, “Mr. Shane Benderson, the son of Mr. Edward, is waiting for you in the VIP room.”

“What’s the matter?Gabriel furrowed his brows.

“He said it’s something his father wants to discuss and insisted on speaking with you face–to–face. He refused to disclose any further information to me, David explained.

Gabriel understood and headed to the VIP room,

Upon entering, Shane, who had been lounging on the sofa with his legs crossed, immediately stood up to greet Gabriel, “Mr. Jackson, you’re here!”

After they both sat down, Shane wore an ingratiating smile. “Mr. Jackson, I apologize for the incident at the Grand Restaurant’s restroom last time. Please don’t hold it against me! It wasn’t my intention to offend you….”

Gabriel interrupted him. “Get to the point.”

Shane quickly complied. “Well, Mr. Jackson, my father wants to invest in the all–in–one medical examination machine project, but he’s not feeling well lately and couldn’t come himself. He sent me in his place. It’s the project you recently pulled into

Scion Investment.”

Gabriel clarified, “The all–in–one medical examination machine project has been independent from the Jackson Group for a while now. Ethan is fully in charge. You’ve come to the wrong person.”

Shane was dumbfounded. He knew that Ethan was in charge of the medical project, but he assumed that being part of the same family, Gabriel would still have some influence over it. Even if the project had officially separated, he didn’t expect Gabriel to outright deny any involvement.

Shane and Edward believed that Gabriel was the real person in charge of the project. Now that Gabriel denied it, Shane. realized he had wasted time and felt incredibly embarrassed. ‘Damn it, what a waste of time! And now it’s made me look like a fool, Shane thought to himself.
