Chapter 368

Shane smiled awkwardly. “I see, I’m really sorry for bothering you, Mr. Jackson.”

Suddenly. Shane’s phone rang. He glanced at it and chose not to answer. Then, he explained to Gabriel, “It’s my girlfriend calling. I’ve told her I’m really busy today and not to call me.”

Shane added. “Oh, by the way, Mr. Jackson, my girlfriend is Nancy.” He explained the incident in the restroom again. “We were just trying some role–playing at the time and accidentally bumped into you.”

Gabriel’s eye twitched.

Just yesterday, Nancy had met him and Gina at the airport, pleading with him to testify for her. Yet today, he heard such words from Shane’s mouth. It seemed that not a word Nancy spoke was true. Gabriel even suspected that Nancy was just trying to create a sensation to gain some fame again

“Mr. Jackson, I’ll take my leave now.” Shane stood up.  sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ FɪndNøvel.ɴᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Gabriel, not fond of Shane’s playful demeanor, didn’t pay him any attention. Shane didn’t say anything either. He promptly

left.

Then, Gabriel’s phone received a new entertainment news notification.

The title said, “Another twist in the tale. Female celebrity engages in the multi–layered publicity stunt.”

Normally, Gabriel wouldn’t bother clicking on it, but this time it involved someone he knew, so he decided to take a look and see what Nancy was up to this time.

The news stated that two days ago, Nancy was exposed for accompanying someone for drinks, leading to suspicions of her being a celebrity drinking companion. Nancy then posted a tweet, claiming she was the victim, but nobody believed her. Then today, Nancy posted another tweet, stating that her relationship with Shane was a misunderstanding and that Shane had been pursuing her all along.

She mentioned they had dinner plans at the Grand Restaurant, where she decided to accept Shane’s pursuit. However, Shane was drugged by someone, causing him to act impulsively and take Nancy to the restroom to resolve his urge.

Nancy was afraid and ran away. But to her surprise, the next day, the incident was exposed by paparazzi. Now, Nancy claimed. that the misunderstanding between her and Shane had been resolved, and she had agreed to his pursuit.

She even flaunted the large diamond ring Shane gave her, showing off their affection. Of course, the netizens were skeptical and left various harsh comments.

“No, that’s enough. Do you think we’re monkeys? You’re so annoying. Serves you right. You’re shameless for walking the line between scandal and fame. It’s disgusting.”

“Enough, are netizens just a pawn in your game?”

Does Nancy have Stockholm syndrome?”

After reading a few comments, Gabriel lost interest. He turned off his phone and headed to his office to deal with work.

After visiting the Clago Orphanage, Gina came to the Clago Foundation

The foundation was established by Quentin, the head of the orphanage after Gina donated 300 million dollars. She felt that Gina’s donation was too generous for the orphanage’s needs, so the foundation was created specifically to help disabled

children

Inside the foundation, there were special children with various disabilities, some visually impaired, some hearing impaired. and so on, with varying degrees of physical disabilities.

Some of these children came from poor families, while others were abandoned orphans with no one to care for them. Despite being of school age, they were unable to receive proper medical treatment or education.

However, after the establishment of the Clago Foundation, these children not only received assistance but also special

education within the foundation.

Gina inspected the foundation and found the children, despite their disabilities, to be innocent and lovely. As she passed by a classroom, a little girl accidentally bumped into her leg, Gina noticed her and helped her up, asking, “Are you okay?”

The little girl didn’t speak but instead began using sign language. Cina realized that the girl was mute.

Gina grew up in an orphanage, back when there wasn’t the Clago Foundation. All the special children lived together, so Gina. also learned sign language during that time.

The girl signed, “Are you a fairy?”

Gina smiled. “No.”

“Really? But you’re so beautiful! You must be a fairy, the most beautiful fairy I’ve ever seen,” the girl signed.

Gina chuckled and noticed the girl’s hand, which had six fingers on her left hand. Gina didn’t stare at the girl’s six fingers for long, but the girl still noticed Gina’s gaze and immediately hid her hand and lowered her head.

Children with disabilities were usually more sensitive. Cina noticed the girl’s change in mood and wanted to reassure her. She reached out and gently patted the girl’s head, saying, You’re beautiful too.”

The girl was happy to be praised by the fairy. She smiled and raised her head, but she still didn’t extend her hand.

“Mindy.”

Hearing her name, the girl turned to look behind Gina and her eyes lit up. She ran over.

Gina turned around and saw Henry,

Henry looked surprised to see Gina but still picked up Mindy when she ran to him.

“Miss Miller, why didn’t you let us know you’re coming? I wasn’t prepared. I’m afraid my hospitality is lacking.” Henry said.

“No need for hospitality, I just came to take a look, Gina replied.

Henry remarked, “I see. Without you, the Clago Foundation wouldn’t exist today. So, you’re welcome to come anytime. And if you want to be the president of the foundation, I can step down immediately. Originally, if it weren’t for my mom’s failing health, I wouldn’t have temporarily taken over as president.”

“I have no intention of becoming the president,” Gina said.

Mindy, who was only six years old in Henry’s arms, only understood part of their conversation. When she heard Henry say he would step down as president, she thought he was leaving and hurriedly signed, “Henry, don’t leave.”

Then she turned to Gina and signed, “Miss Fairy, don’t make Henry leave.”

Henry laughed and explained to Mindy. “Miss Miller isn’t asking me to leave. Mindy, don’t worry.”

Mindy felt relieved after hearing this and immediately hid her hand behind her back again.

Henry looked at Mindy and asked, “Mindy, what’s wrong? Why are you hiding your hand?”

Mindy hesitated for a moment, then signed, “My hand doesn’t look good. It has six fingers, it’s strange.”

Henry frowned, looking genuinely worried. He gently reassured Mindy. “Mindy, didn’t I tell you before? Having six fingers isn’t strange at all. It’s special. And your hand is beautiful. Don’t hide it.”
