I am one hundred percent sure that I must be having a concussion right now. I don't know how long I was unconscious, but from the dried blood on my hand, I guess maybe a day or two. Alan made sure to get a nice blow with that lamp. I looked down at the stab wound and noticed that someone has covered it with a bandage.

Well, I don't think I will be bleeding to death anytime soon then.

“My mate is awake!” I heard the sinister voice which made me look at the door, and there he was standing with a bottle of water in hand, and a knife in the other, the moment I saw the knife, I started to struggle again. But he came towards me, opened the bottle, and forced my mouth open before pouring it in. I tried very hard to spit the water out, but then he pressed my nose, which forced me to swallow the water.

“Now, that we are hydrated why don't we have a little chat?” Alan asked me, and he took a chair that was near the door and placed it in front of me and took a seat.

“So, I told you that I want to Mark you as mine, but I would also like to give you an option. If you are willing to mate with me, then I spare the entire pack, and your family included,” he said.

“I do rather stab myself than willingly let you mark me.” I spat at him and he slapped him hard across my cheek, and the previous cut from my cheek opened, and it was now bleeding again. And before I could gather my breath, he stabbed me in the same wound again. “Argh!” I yelled in pain, it was just too much for me to bear.

“You have always been strong-willed, Iris. And I will make sure that I break that.” he sneered before he lifted my chair and threw me to the wall, the chair broke into pieces, and one of the broken pieces pierced my spine, making my eyes water. But Alan didn't stop there, he was after my blood, he grabbed my hair and banged my head on the wall a few times, and blood trickled down from my forehead before I fell unconscious again.

“I have her location, so I am going there with a few of my men to check it out. And Ada, please don't worry, I will bring Iris back home safe and sound.” I reassured her, but I can hear her crying out loud.

“I am trying to be strong, Jace. But I don't know why my heart tells me that Iris is not going to come back to us in one piece, I am very much afraid for her life, Jace. Cole just got back home, and he has gone to the police station with dad to see if they have any information about Iris.” Ada informed me.

“We will find her, Ada. Please take care of her parents.” I consoled her, and I heard her sniffle.

“We will be eternally grateful to you, Jace. Thank you,” she uttered.

“Take care,” I said, and then the line went dead. I handed the phone to Walter and walked towards the forest with Mike beside me.

“Make sure there is a regular patrol surrounding Iris’s family. And call the police station and tell them to not disclose much information to her family, alright?” I turned around and saw that Walter was nodding his head at me. And stay close till we reach the target area.” I send the message through the mind link before I started running through the forest with my gamma behind me and the other warriors right behind us. While zooming past the dense trees, I felt another wave of pain, and this time, it was the worst, I felt the pain for like thirty seconds before I felt nothing, and miraculously, I heard my mate's voice through the mind link, which made me run faster.

We ran for three hours before we came to a stop about one kilometer away from the abandoned warehouse that the rogues are using. There were a lot of rogues surrounding the warehouse, and I also noticed Zander’s car parked near the entrance.

“We are outnumbered, Mike, mind link Walter and ask him to send a few more warriors,” I said, and then I closely started watching the area. The rogues were clumsy in their patrol, and some were even drinking, which was a positive point for us since a drunk person is way easier to kill than the sober one.

And right then, I saw Zander come out of the warehouse, and he said something to the guards before he left with his car. “Got after him. And bring him here to me, but make sure he is alive.” I mind linked my Gamma, and he nodded his head before he left us. Once he left, I signaled the others to get to their strategic position, and in the count of three, all of us left the forest and attacked the rogues that were outside.
