I woke up when someone poured ice-cold water on me, and when I looked around, I saw I was still in this dingy room, and Jennifer was in front of me, with a sinister smile on her face. “Hello, Luna. I thought of having a bit of fun with you before my brother comes back to finish what he started.” she spat and kicked me on the stomach and stamped my throat, which cut my air supply for a brief period and clad at her legs and even tried to push it, but she stamped even more before I used all my strength and pushed her off me, which made her fall on the floor.

Then I remembered something Elana said. “You have the strength and speed of an alpha.”

The adrenaline rush that I had made all the pain temporarily vanish from me, and I quickly got up from the floor and took the knife that was next to the broken chair, and stabbed Jennifer in the neck. And she choked and clawed at my hand, I twisted the knife harder before her movements completely stopped. “Never underestimate a woman who has gone through this kind of trauma for almost two years, bitch!” I spat at her corpse, and I quickly got up from the floor and pulled out the small dagger that Camila gave me.

When I was about to leave this room, I heard a commission outside, and right then Alan came inside, and when he saw his sister lying on the floor, in a pool of her own blood, he started to shake, and he directed his bloodshot eyes at me. I can feel the waves of anger that were radiating through him.

“You killed my sister!” he sneered at me, and ran towards me at full speed, I raised the knife and stabbed him in the stomach, which momentarily slowed his movement, and I took this as my opportunity and ran out of the room, but my freedom was short-lived because Alan soon tackled me to the floor and punched my face.

“You are good as dead, Iris.” his eyes were a blood-red color, and this only means that his wolf was out, and he held the knife high before he brought it down, and I closed my eyes, waiting for the final pain. After a few seconds, it never came, and I looked up to see that Alan was holding his hand in pain, and on top of me, a black wolf was standing in a protective stance. Jace is here!

“Well, good for me, now I can kill both the alpha and luna of the Blueblood pack,” Alan said before he transformed into a brown wolf, and both of them started fighting. Alan had already bit Jace’s hinge leg and stomach while there were deep wounds on Alan’s back, and I didn't know what compelled me, when Alan was cornered to the wall, I ran towards him and stabbed him in the neck with the dagger that Camila gave me.

And he looked at me with anger, before he fell to the floor, his wolf slammed me to the wall, I banged my head pretty hard, and I closed my eyes.

But the last thing that I saw was Jace transforming into a human, and he carried me and left the building, where I saw Mike run towards me.

Iris killed him, and I can not be prouder than how I feel today. My mate is stronger than any other she-wolf that I have come across. She is not only strong physically but emotionally as well. “How is Iris?” Mike rushed towards me when I came outside. “She fell unconscious, but I will have to take her to the hospital immediately,” I said, and I looked around my surrounding, a lot of wolves were lying dead on the floor, and luckily it was all the rogues, but I saw that some of my pack warriors were injured too, but nothing serious and I was proud of my pack.

We were able to go over this problem with minimal casualties. “Um, Alpha, Zander is tied up to that tree over there.” Mike pointed towards the right, and I saw that Zander was tied there, blood was dripping down his face, and his clothes were torn.

“Can you take Iris to the pack hospital? I have some unfinished business to deal with.” I asked Mike, and he nodded his head, and I slowly handed over my mate to him and walked toward the traitor, whom I trusted more than myself.

“I just want to know one thing. Why did you do this?” I came straight to the question, and he spat a mouth full of blood.

“Your pack fucking killed my father and my mother.”

“Your father died in protecting the pack.”

“Yeah right, but did you even care. That day my parents were supposed to go on their vacation, and if your dad wouldn't have asked my dad to go and check the border, he wouldn't have died. My father died while protecting your dad’s life.” Zander spat, and I realized that hatred and emotions had messed with his mental state.

“You betrayed the pack and put your future luna in danger, and for that, you are sentenced to death,” I told him before I snapped his neck and started walking towards the waiting car. One of the warriors handed over a pair of sweatpants and I wore that before I took the car and left the place.

When I arrived at my pack, I parked the car in front of the pack house and rushed to the hospital to see that Mike, Walter, and Elana were standing near the closed door of the operating theater. “How is she?” I asked Mike.

“They have taken her in for the surgery, and the doctor hasn't come out yet,” Mike said, and I nodded my head before I took a seat on the floor, while Mike held Elana who was silently crying, and for the first time I felt bad for her because of something that she never did, she had to face a lot of things in her life because of our decisions.

“Elana, can I speak to you?” I spoke, and she looked at me in shock while Mike held her tighter.

“Sure, Alpha,” she said, and slowly got out of Mike’s stronghold and she followed me outside.

“Elana, I am so sorry for everything I did to you. I should have at least believed you instead of that bitch. I should have been the brother that I promised you, I would be I...” before I could continue, she placed her hand on my lips.

“I forgave you a long time ago, Jace. And I believe that whatever happened, happened for a reason,” she said, and tears dripped down my cheeks, I surprised us both and pulled her into a hug.

“I will never let you down again, Elana, I promise,” I whispered in her ears, and she slowly wrapped her hands around me.

“Will you forgive this Buffon too, little sis?” I heard Walter, and when we pulled back, I saw that Walter was standing near the steps, with a box of Elana’s favorite chocolates in hand, and tears were falling down his face.

“I am so stupid. I should I always believed that my little sister has a heart of gold.” Walter said, and tears were running down Elana’s cheeks, she ran towards him and jumped in his arm, and he caught her, and spun her around, like how we used to do when we were small.

“Elana?” we were so caught in our moment that we didn't realize that Walter’s parents were there.

“Darling, I know we don't deserve your forgiveness, but we regret how we treated you, just because we wanted to maintain our so-called reputation in this pack.” her mother spoke.

“We have always loved you, darling. But we never really showed it to you, I know that was a huge mistake, and we don't expect you to forgive us right now, but if you can then, please forgive us, darling?” Her father asked, and she stood there staring at them before she ran toward her parents.

“I love you too, guys.” there were a lot of tears here, and I didn't want to interrupt a family reunion, so I went back inside, and just then, the doctor came out.

“Alpha, we have stabilized her, but it would be great if you could give us some of your blood,” the doctor asked, and I nodded my head, and followed him inside.

“Mike, please inform Iris's family about this,” I instructed before I went to give my blood.

Iris’s family came to see her soon after Mike told them about the situation, and they were not happy to see their only daughter in that state, but I guess they were able to cope with it. It's been three days already, and Iris hasn't opened her eyes yet.

I have been sleeping next to her bed for the past three days, and every day I see her bandaged body, my heart aches, and my wolf whines inside me. A searing anger bubbles within me, and I have the urge to bring Alan back to life and kill him again.
