Terrible Trolls

Morning came and Peter and the group were getting ready to leave the elf lands, but before they could go, Meka gave Zoey a gift that was a necklace that had a glow to it and it was a spell to ward off evil from her soul. Zoey took it with gratitude and placed it around her neck with a smile. They also gave Zoey a horse with stuff for her to use, like a blanket to lie on and other important things that she can use. Once everyone was ready and on their horses, they head off to the other side of the elves’ lands. When they got to the other side of the lands, they saw the sunshine bright in the painted blue sky and they headed off on their trail. While following the trail, Zoey was telling the group a little about herself, what she likes and what she dislikes, plus what kind of magic she can do. Sam stopped and looked up at the sky as clouds were building up and turning darker. Looking at Peter as he was talking to Zoey as she was smiling at him.

“Peter, the clouds are getting darker and they are building up.” Sam said and Peter looked up at the sky and saw that it was getting darker.

“Kat, can you put a spell on blocking the rain?” Peter asked Kat as she nodded.

“Yeah, I can. Nish Plat Bat Split Splat Shield of Rain.” Kat said as her voice echoed a little and a blue dome appeared over their heads.

“You elves never surprise me.” Zozo said with a smile.

“Yeah, we should keep you around,” Jojo joked as she and Zozo laughed at the joke.

“Yes…hilarious.” Kat said while looking ahead with a frown.

The rain started and luckily Kat put the spell up because it was a downpour that you can’t see what is in front of you, so they stopped and made camp there. The horses grassed on the grass while the group made a fire with wood that Jojo had in her bag. Everyone was sitting around the fire while enjoying the fresh rain smell.

“So, where are we heading?” Zoey asked while Peter smiled at her.

“To the Kingdom of sky people.” Peter told her, as she looked shocked.

“You mean going to the kingdom of the sky folk? What for?” She asked as Peter looked at the fire.

“To see if I’m the true king or not.” Peter said and Zoey looked at him.

“Maybe you are.”

“What do you mean?” Mike asked.

“When I smell you, Peter, I smelled some kind of power running in your veins,” Zoey said, as Peter looked at her with wide eyes.

“So you can smell anything that is powerful or something?” Zozo asked while Zoey nodded.

“Yes, I’m still a snake, so I can still do things like a snake would.” Zoey said, while everyone nodded.

The horses got worried and everyone looked at them, wondering what was startling them. Just then, a loud thumping sound was heard and Peter knew that was not thunder. Standing up with the others as they pull out their weapons ready for anything will happen. The horses broke their reins and ran off while Jojo ran a little, but stopped when she saw them gone in the heavy rain.

“Crap…They are gone!” Jojo called out while turning around and looking at the group.

Jojo walked back to the group, but something grabbed her by the hood of her cloak and pulled her up. Everyone watched Jojo going up and up till they saw a face of a troll, but it was not just any troll, it was a night troll that is taller and more cleanly than other trolls. (The night trolls are black as night, so they are kinda hard to see in the dark.)

“What’s this?” The troll asked with a deep voice.

“Well, I smell two dwarfs! And elves! And…something that I haven’t smelled before!” They heard a high pitch voice that sounded like a woman.

“Yeah, what is that smell?” another voice said, as it was rough and mean.

“Hey put me down!” Jojo yelled while the troll with the deep voice looked at her.

“Say this one is a dwarf!” the troll said with a deep voice.

“Yes Cline, that is a dwarf and look down there, another dwarf and elves. Turk, Cline! My sniffer was right for once!” The woman troll said while jumping up and down shaking the ground while the group fell down on their bums.

“Yes, yes, now calm down Ze.” Turk said with a grunt while Cline held Jojo in his hand.

“So, what should we do with them?” Cline asked.

“Let’s eat them!” Ze said with happiness in her voice.

“No, let’s play with them!” Cline argued to Ze.

“Let’s eat them!”

“NO play with them!”

Cline and Ze keep on arguing back and forth while the group tries to think how to get Jojo from the troll’s name, Cline. For Turk, he was watching both of the trolls argue while rolling his eyes at them. Peter got an idea as back in his world there are so many things about trolls to fool them like in the hobbit and Terrible with Trolls. Walking up to them while Sam tried to stop him.

“Peter, what are you doing?” Sam asked while Peter didn’t answer him.

“Hey you three!” Peter called out as Cline and Ze stopped arguing and looked down at Peter while Turk moved to the side and looked down at him as well. “I know what you guys can do to us.” This caught the troll’s attention and they kneel on the ground to look at Peter with wonder and curiosity. “You tree can play hide and seek with us.”

“Hide and seek?” All three trolls said together while looking at one another.

“Yes, hide and seek. If you let go, my dwarf friend, I will tell you how the game goes.” Peter said while putting his sword back in its holder, so did the others as they want to know this game also, as they don’t know the game.

“Okay.” Cline said and he placed Jojo down on the ground and she ran over to Peter and hid behind him.

“Now go on, tell us about this game!” Ze said with excitement.

“Well, all you three have to do is close your eyes and count to ten while all of us go hide and all you have to do is find us.” Peter told them as they looked at each other while Cline and Ze wanted to play the game but Turk did not like the idea.

“If we close our eyes, you will run away!” Turk said with a little anger in his voice.

“Okay then, how about you turn around and count to ten, then find us?” The trolls looked at each other and nodded.

“Okay, we will play this game of hide and seek.” Turk said while Peter smiled up at him.

“Great! Now turn around as we hide.” Peter told them and they did what they were told.

The three trolls turn around and Peter waves his hand to go and the group run as Peter follows them while the spell breaks and they are now getting wet from the rain. They look around and find a rock and they all run over to the rock and lean against the wall.

“Really, Peter, this is stupid. Why don’t we fight them?” Sam asked, while the others nodded.

“Or do you have another idea?” Zoey asked while Peter smiled and nodded.

“Yes, you know trolls can’t stand sunlight? If we play this game for a while till the rain goes away and the sunshine. The trolls will turn into stone, right?”

“He’s right! But why do we have to play hide and seek? They can easily find us.” Mike said.

“I know, but those two trolls that want to eat us I can see in their eyes they are interested in the game.” Peter told him.

“So all we have to do is run around and find a place to hide and get caught?” the twins asked at the same time.

“Yup.”

Everyone did what Peter told them to do as they ran away from their hiding place and ran around finding a place to hide. After some time, they found good hiding spots while the trolls were having trouble counting till they finally got to ten and they looked for Peter and his friends. It took them some time, and the rain was lifting and the sky was going clear.

“I thought this would be easy!” Ze called out with a pout.

“They are gone! They lied to us!” Cline yelled, with tears in his eyes.

“They are not gone, I can still smell them!” Turk said “Just use your noise!”

So they used their noises, and they found the group as they placed them in a circle as they tried to find Zoey and Peter. Ze finds Zoey and places her in the circle while the other two try to find Peter. Cline was getting grumpy while Turk looked around the bushes where Peter was in and the sky was getting lighter. “Ah, the sun!” Ze cried out and Cline and Turk looked up at the sky and saw the sun shining.

They ran, but it was too late for them; the sun hit them and they slowly turned into stone. The group watched the trolls turn into stone while Peter got out of his spot and walked over to the group. Looking at the three stone trolls, Peter was happy that he remembers in those books and movies with trolls in them.

“Well, that was easy to get rid of trolls.” Kate said, while moving her hood and looking up at the trolls.

“Yeah and I kinda feel sorry for them.” Mike said while kicking Cline’s leg.

“Now that’s done, we better get going.” Zozo said.

“Yeah, but want horses?” Jojo said with her arms crossed.

“I guess we walk.” Sam said while Peter walked off with Sam behind him and Zoey.

Kate and Mike followed them also while Zozo and Jojo looked at each other and sighed before following the group as they had to walk faster since their legs were smaller than the others.
