Chapter 69

Julian's POV

Colter had just taken Alexa home. As soon as she was awake, she wanted to leave. I couldn't blame her. The horrible thing that was done to her I would want to go home also but it left me with a big f*****g mess to clean up. I had prisoners and I had people that had been injected with either wolf venom or vampire venom or some of both. I had no clue if they would transition or if they would die. The council was here but they were just watching. They didn't do much.

I was currently sitting at my desk trying to decide what to do. I don't know any vampires, but I had to get those that were injected some help. They would transition soon, and I didn't know what to do with them.

“You've met the vampire king; you should call him” Zion linked me.

“I know but we only met in passing and I highly doubt he would remember me.” I linked him back.

“still, it's a start. If he can't help with the vampires maybe, he will know someone who can.” Zion said back.

“I will try but I hate to. He can kind of be an a*s hole from what I have been told."

Zion cut our link apparently done hearing what I thought about it.

“Julian, what are you thinking?” Luca asked me, pulling me from my thoughts.

“Zion suggested we call the Vampire King"

“Do you even know him?"

“ve met him in passing but I knew who does so I can get his number”

“Then I suggest you do it because we have no clue what to do with them”

I reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone and went to Alpha Jack's number. He was someone who didn't live near us, but we met at an Alpha’s meeting a few years back and every once in a while, we meet up. We also run problems and ideas off each other. “Julian man, what is going on? I am hearing some weird rumors” He said as he answered the phone.

“I am sure they are probably true. Why don’t you tell me what you have heard” I told him.

“That some crazed Alpha took people, and he is turning them into some weird hybrids."

“Pretty much and now I house those hybrids and I need to get in touch with the Vampire King. I have people that were given vampire venom and I don't know what is going to happen.”

My office door burst open at that time and a warrior rushed.

“Sorry sir but we have a problem with some of our newest people here? He said out of breath.

Luca jumped up and took off with him, while I continued my phone call.

“Listen I can call and talk to him, but I can't give you his number, he would kill me. Plus, I don’t know if he will help you or not.” Alpha Jack said.

“Well, if you can tell me anything about these vampires?”

“No, I don't really know much about them besides they like blood,"

“OK well call him and then call me back," I told him.

We both hung up and I went downstairs to see what was going on. I didn’t find anything out of the ordinary.

“Luca, what is going on? Where did you go?” I mind-linked him.

“Pack hospital. They fell to the floor in pain and won't answer us."

I started walking there when Nicki walked up to me from behind and scared me.

“Hey, handsome!” She said as she wrapped her arms around me.

“Hey, beautiful. What are you doing?”

“I was helping in the daycare and then came to find you.”

“Daycare?” I asked giving her a questioning look. That was a new one for her. She usually preferred to help cook. Not that sh needed to do any of it.

“Ya, I wanted to be around kids. I don't know much about kids, but I need to learn”

“Why would you need to learn about kids?" I asked her really confused.

“Because my Alpha we are going to have a pup of our own."

“What you're pregnant?” I asked her shocked

“Yes. Apparently our first night together, you knocked me up. It's still so early”

I picked her up and spun in circles. This is the happiest I have ever felt. I was going to be a dad. I finally put her back down and kissed her. Zion was in my head with his chest puffed out howling and prancing.

“Angel this is the best thing ever. I can't believe we are going to have a pup. How do you feel?"

“Nervous and afraid. What if we're no good at it?"

“We will be the best parents ever! Now we need to officially make you, my Luna. I have wanted to since I marked you, but it's been crazy but let's do it this weekend."

“I don’t even know where to start with that. We can wait longer.”

“No, this weekend. Luca's sisters will help you." I told her.

“OK,” she whispered to me.

I pulled her to me again and just held her for a few minutes. I was so happy. I had to tell someone, or I might burst. That's when my phone started ringing in my pocket. I pulled it out and didn't recognize the phone number. I was going to ignore it but then remembered that it could be the vampire king.

“Alpha Julian," I said when I answered the phone.

“Alpha Julian, this is Roscoe the Vampire King, and I received a phone call from Alpha Jack about some issues you are having”

“Yes, thank you for calling King Roscoe.”

“Please just call me Roscoe”

“OK, Roscoe. Well, I have some humans that were injected with vampire venom, and they haven't transitioned yet, but I think itis starting and I don't know what to do for them. I want them to be safe while this is happening. It was no fault of their own?" I explained to him.

“Well, for starters want to tell me how humans got injected with vampire venom and how they ended up in with wolves.” He said, getting angry.

“There is a man in our area who is nuts and started kidnapping people and injecting them with all sorts of things. We were able to rescue these guys two days ago, and we are just trying to help them”

“Do you have this man in custody or is he dead yet?” He asked

“No sir, we are still looking for him."

“You need to put the people that are transitioning in a secure place alone. They are going to run really high body temperatures and they are going to be in extreme pain. There is nothing you can do about that. They will be unconscious, and you need to leave them alone. Do not touch them or try to help. When they wake up you need to have blood on hand fo them. Once they drink some, they will calm down but until then they will be wild?”

“sir the only place I have like that is my dungeon; told him.

“That is fine. Those are usually cold, correct?”

“Yes sir"

“Good move them there and I am on my way. It will take me a day to get there.” He said and then hung up.

As soon as I hung up the phone it started ringing again. I really needed to get to the hospital and needed Nicki to get out of here where it was safe while we moved them, but I saw that it was Colter and I needed to know how Alexa was doing. She wa in a bad way when she was here.

I answered the phone and Colter wanted me to send the prisoners to them so that Alexa could deal with them. That actually worked out for me since that would free up space for the ones that were transitioning.

“Luca, I need you in my office in five minutes” I mind-linked him.

“Angel, I need you to go upstairs where it is safe. We are going to be moving prisoners and then moving the humans that are transitioning and I don’t want you or the pup to get hurt” I told her.

“Let me arrange some beds for them. The dungeon is not comfortable”

“Fine but you can do it from my office; I told her and then kissed her.

I grabbed her hand and we went up to my office. I went to my desk and sat down and pulled her into my lap while we waited for Luca to get here. He finally knocked and came in and went and sat down in the chair in front of my desk.

“What's up, boss man?” He asked

“The Vampire King will be here tomorrow. We are going to be shipping the prisoners out to Colter and Alexa and they will be dealing with them. We also need to move anyone that is transitioning to the dungeon and let them be. We also need to have blood on hand for them for when their transition is over”

“Hold the fuck up. The Vampire King is coming here?" He asked.

“Ya, he is. He will be assisting us with the new vampires we seem to have on our hands”

“OK, I will get some SUVs ready for transport. When do you want them to be on the road?”

“As soon as possible”

“OK give me an hour to get them on the road.”

“How many humans do we have currently at the pack hospital going through the transition?" I asked him.

“Ten.”

“OK, Nicki is going to work on getting them some beds set up after the prisoners are gone.”

“Anything else?”

“Yes, there is actually," I told him as I looked at Nicki. I wanted to tell him. He was my best friend. She shook her head yes at me.

“OK, what else?” He said sitting back down.

“Well, Nicki and I are going to be having a pup,” I told him with a giant smile on my face.

“What! That is amazing. I am going to be an Uncle Luca. I can’t wait to teach this kid all the bad things in life. He will be the most spoiled kid ever by me!” He said.

We all stood up and walked to the door. Luca grabbed Nicki and hugged her and then gave me a weird man hug as well. “Congratulations you two." He said as he walked out the door.

“Luca, one more thing, I said before he got too far away.

“What's that?”

“Not a word to anyone about this,” I told him.

He knew what I meant. The pregnancy and the Vampire King coming here, the transitioning vampires. Well, everything.

I pulled Nicki back into my office and started kissing her.
