Chapter 86

Alexa's POV

6 months later.

It has been five months since I returned from my father's pack. We spent a month there before we came home. I met my father's family and forged a bond with him that is incredible. It helped heal me. He also taught me about our power and how to use them. His pack was small with only fifty people in it. Since we are going to try and overthrow the council they decided to move into our pack. My father gave up being an Alpha and everyone moved here and pledged their loyalty to Cotler and me.

He didn't have a beta since they were so small, but the people that he had were amazing. They were all trained fighters and were just simply kind people. They have all fit into our pack. His Luna and wife Luna Melissa were just as accepting as he was She has taken me in and treated me just like I always imagined a mom would. They never had any pups and so she told me that I was her daughter and she would love me like that. It was a touching moment.

I crawled out of bed and got a quick shower and headed to Colter's office. He is going to yell at me but he always forgives m as soon as I bat my eyelashes at him. I didn't knock and just went in when I got there.

“What the hell are you doing out of bed?” He said

“The doctor said that as of today I would be off bed rest but to take it easy, I needed out” I shot back at him.

He got up from his chair and came over to me. He walked me over to the couch where we sat down together.

“How are you feeling this morning?”

“Like a beached whale”

“Stop that. You are beautiful and I know it's been rough on you but this pup in here will be worth it once it is out” He said as he rubbed his hand over my belly. We found out we were pregnant a few weeks after getting back from my father's. Flashback...

I was so tired that I didn't want to even get out of bed. I have been feeling this way for a few days now. It wasn't the same as last time. I wasn't having nightmares and not sleeping at night. In fact, I was sleeping great. I finally gathered the energy to get out of bed and headed to the shower. I made it to the doorway of the bathroom when I was hit with nausea and ran to the toilet to throw up. After I emptied my stomach I brushed my teeth and stepped into the shower and let the water hit me. It always felt good. When I opened my shampoo bottle and as soon as some of my shampoo hit my hand I was throwing up again well more like dry heaving because I had already puked everything up. After a few minutes, I was finally feeling better and thought I could wash my hair.

“Hey, do you remember the last time you were puking for no reason?” Jade linked me.

“No, I, don't puke"

“Yes you do and you really don't remember. It's something you and Colt have been trying for a few months.” Storm said. “Oh, my goddess are we pregnant?”

“YES!” Both of them said.

I rinsed all of the soap off me and ran out of the bathroom and threw on the first clothes I could find and flew to Colter’s office. I opened the door and found Mac and Liam and him deep in discussion.

“Colt, what is something we have been wanting for a while and were starting to think wouldn't happen?”

“Are you pregnant?” He asked.

“YES!” I screamed out with tears in my eyes.

He picked me up and spun me around. We're going to be parents!” He sang out.

“I am just ready to have this baby. I want to know what I have been growing for the last five months”

“I know me too but they will be perfect because you are perfect”

“Stop that. We need to get back to planning how we are going to overthrow the council. I know we put a stop because of my pregnancy but I want to do this as soon as I can."

“I know princess and it will be soon.”

“Your baby wants chips and salsa right now," I told him.

“Then the baby will get chips and salsa right now” he said smiling at me.

He held out his hand and pulled me up. We walked to the dining hall and I sat down while Colter went into the kitchen. He came back out with a giant bowl of salsa and a bag of chips. I went to town eating and Colt just sat there watching.

“Would you like some?” I asked him with a mouth full of food.

“No, I am good.”

I was pigging out on the chips and salsa and didn't hear Mac and Aubree come into the dining hall and sit down.

“How are you feeling Alexa?" Aubree asked.

“Fat and hungry.”

“I am sorry girl, I remember being there the last few days."

“How is my nephew doing anyway?”

“Kaden is doing great. Although I think he eats every hour”

“That's my boy, growing big and strong?” Mac said.

They had Kaden a month ago and Alexis was now seven months old and was getting so big.

“When do you think your baby will come?” Aubree asked

“Not soon enough. I am so ready to have it out”

Everyone just laughed and I continued to eat my chips and salsa. I knew dinner would be in a few hours but I didn't really care. I didn't a lot at once so I just kind of snacked throughout the day and napped a lot.

“Princess, what would you like to do for the rest of the afternoon?” Colt asked me.

“Nap please.”

“I thought that might be what you want."

“It's what I always want.”

“Come on I will tuck you in"

He helped me back up and we got to the stairs and he picked me up in one swoop.

“What are you doing?”

“rm taking you upstairs”

“I can walk?"

“I know but I don't want you to fall or something on the stairs."

I wasn't going to argue with him. It wasn't worth it over something so little. We made it to our room and headed to the bedroom.

“I think I will actually watch TV on the couch for a while, please”

“of course Princess.”

He took me to the couch and gegentlylaced me on it and helped me get comfortable.

“Are you sure you can't stay and relax with me?" I asked him giving him the best puppy dog eyes I could.

“Princess I have to get as much work done as I can before this pup comes,” he leaned down and gave me a kiss and then gav my belly a kiss, and for some reason, I didn’t want him to leave. The thought of him leaving made me cry. I couldn't stop the tears they just started flowing out of me.

“Why are you crying?” He asked kneeling down.

I couldn't answer him. It was ridiculous and I knew it but I still couldn't stop crying. I hid my face in my hands as I kept crying.

“Princess talk to me please, why are you crying?"

“I don't want you to leave.” I sobbed out.

He kissed my forehead and crawled behind me and just held me. I rolled over so I was laying on my side and my head was o his chest.

“rm sorry. I don't know what is wrong. I don't know why I don’t want you to leave me. It just hit me suddenly.”

“It's ok Princess, I don't want to leave you either.”

He just ran his fingers through my hair. This was one of my favorite things. It always put me to sleep. It wasn't long before I was asleep.

I woke up sometime later and Colter was gone. I was crying again. It felt like he didn't want to be with me. He was working sc much right now and I know it's because we left for a month because of me and now he is getting ready for the birth of this baby but I just need to be near him.

“Colt, where did you go?" I asked through mind link. Although it was broken by my sobs.

“Il am on my way back up to the room.”

“No, if you don't want to be around me, you tell me," I told him back but by now I was sobbing so hard it was uncontrollable. didn't understand. Can't he just see how much I wanted to be around him?

“Girl, you need to calm down. This is your hormones going crazy right now. Take a few deep breaths.” Jade linked me.

“No, he doesn't want us. I am a huge cow. He is disgusted with us," I linked back.

Before they could link me back the door burst open and Colt came running up to me. I headed for the bedroom and he was right behind me.

“Alexa stop. Why are you so upset?”

just ignored him and shut and locked the bedroom door. He was on the other side yelling at me to open it up, but I was toc upset. I was walking over to the bed and didn't see the clothes on the floor and my feet tangled up in them and I went down like a ton of bricks. I threw my hands out to catch myself and in doing so I felt the instant break of my wrist when I landed. I let out a scream as the pain hit me, but my belly didn't hit the ground. I brought my knees up under me and cradled my wris and just cried harder.

The bedroom door was broken open and Colt came running to my side.

“Princess, what happened?”

I couldn't answer him. All I could do was cry.

“Please talk to me. I begging you what is wrong?” He looked so confused.

“Go away, I know you don’t want us around anymore,” I sobbed out.

“Princess, I want you all the time. I just have some work to finish. I am sorry. I shouldn't have left you."

“Just go away; I yelled again.

“No you are hurt and upset and I am not leaving you”

I let out a scream as a contraction ripped through me all of a sudden. I used my good hand to clutch my belly, but my broker hand fell and that hurt even worse so I let out another scream. The contraction stopped and so I grabbed my other hand again and tried to stand up but couldn't. I was stuck and needed his help but didn't want to ask him.

“Sloane can you come to my room ASAP!" I linked her.

“Colt just go away. I know you don’t want to be here; I told him still crying.

“Princess, I am not leaving you. I want to be with you. I just had something to finish before the pup came?

Sloane came running into the room holding Alexis.

“What's wrong?” Sloane said out of breath.

I let out another scream as another contraction hit me. I tried to grab my belly but then I remembered my wrist and so I just kind of leaned over my belly.

“Are you having contractions?” Sloane asked.

I couldn't answer but just shook my head at them. Colt came over and got down on his knees in front of me.

“Princess, take my hand, let's get you up and we can go to the hospital”

“I can't. I fell and broke my wrist and I can't get up;” I sobbed out.

I didn't want him here right now but right I needed him to help me up.

“Oh Princess, I am so sorry. If I knew you would get this upset by me leaving I would have never left you?

He got up and moved behind me and placed his arms under my armpits and lifted me gently under my feet were under me. Colt was quick to pick me up again.

“Please put me down,” I told him.

“No, we're going to the hospital”

“I need to walk please put me down now” I told him but was still crying

He put me down on my feet but didn't let go of my arm. Sloane came over to my other side and we walked out of the room and headed towards the hospital. We got to the top of the stairs and I stopped because I knew I would have another contraction in the middle of the stairs if I didn’t wait.

“What's wrong, why did we stop?” Asked Sloane.

I just let out another small scream as the contraction hit me. Colt tighten his grip on me so I didn't fall. I just leaned over a little bit and tried to breathe through it. Once it was over we headed down the stairs. It took us a few minutes to get to the hospital since I kept having to stop but I had finally stopped crying. I noticed that Sloane no longer had Alexis and I don't even remember anyone coming and getting her. Colt lead us right through the door and to a room. He helped me up to the bed and a nurse and a doctor were right behind him.

“Hello, Luna. I hear it's time for you to have a baby” I just glared at her. I wasn't in the mood.
