Lorena POV

I groaned in pains as I fluttered my eyes opened to a bright light above me. I scrunch my eyes for a moment before fully opening my eyes to see where I was. The last thing I remembered was falling into the pit but now, I was on a soft bed and my clothes was changed. Looking around me, I realized that I was back in my room. At first, I thought that I was dreaming until miss donna walked into the room humming a song.

“miss Donna,” my voice croaked and when I raised my left arm, it felt as if it was on fire and I moaned in pain and bought it down. “ouch!”

“lady Lorena!” Miss Donna shouted my name and headed towards me. “are you fine?" she asked and I nodded in response. “how did I get here?" I asked her and tried to rise up from the bed but my hand was burning so bad that I thought that it wa on fire.

“easy,” miss donna helped me seat up on the bed.

“so, who brought me into the room? I don't remember walking into my room,” I told her and she chuckled.

“I know," she said and placed a pillow on my back. * the alpha king brought you in himself and the crazy thing about all of this is that you passed the first competition, “she said and I smiled brightly. Happy that I was able to prove to everybody tha I was strong and smart enough to know about the Pelita trees.

“Is that all?" I asked her anticipating the talks about the Pelita trees but her next words shocked me and it made my heart shattered.

“yes. Everyone is talking about how smart the queen was for finding the pepitas trees,” she answered.

“what?” I was beyond shock. I couldn't understand why angelica had to lie to everyone that she found the trees because it was me who did.

How could she take credit for what I did? I thought and stood up from the bed without miss donna's assistance. I gritted my teeth while ignoring the pains in my hand. There was more pressing issue than that and I was ready to address them all. “where are you going?”

lignored her and walked into my closet. I rummaged through through the rows of pant and when I found a brown pant, I beckoned to her to help me get it.

“why are you acting like this?" miss donna asked as she assist me in wearing the pants.

“There is something I need to find out,” I told her and pointed to a white round shirt. She removed it from the rows of the shirts and also assisted me in getting into it. “where are you going to?”

Telling miss donna was not a bad idea since she was my maiden servant and the only one that I trusted in the royal mansior I clicked my tongue and ruffled my hair. “I am going to confront the future queen,” I answered her questions but she furrowed her eyes at me in confusion. “I thought you two were friends so why are you confronting her?"

I heaved a sigh and rubbed my aching head. “because I found the pelitas trees not her!" I shouted and scoffed. * how could she lie like that?”

Miss donna gave me a confusion look still not understanding what I had said. I groaned and palmed my forehead wondering why she couldn't understand simple English. “I am saying that I found the trees not the queen. *

Miss donna widened her eyes and then gasped. “oh my!” she exclaimed. “why would she have lied that? Everyone is the roy: mansion is talking about how intelligent she is and even the king Is amazed about how smart she is. ”

“lies,” I clenched my fists and walked out of the closet heading towards the entrance of the room.

“where are you going?" miss donna asked.

Was she blind? I thought as I turned back to face her. “I am going to meet with the Luna queen and confront her. I should be recognized as the one who found the pelitas trees not her," I hissed and walked out of the room not bothering to answer miss donna who shouted my name.

“but she is with the king right now at the moment, * she answered and I smiled wickedly getting the information that I wanted to hear.

I walked towards Fenrir's office where I knew both of them would be. When I reached the entrance of the office, there were two guards at the door. When they saw me, they refused to let me in. * the alpha king and the Luna queen are in there together,” one of the guards said. “no one is allowed in!”

I scoffed and ruffled my hair. The anger boiling inside of me was about to explode any moments and I wanted that to happe in front of angelica who was a liar and a conniving woman. “I need to enter," I told them and tried to walk in but they pushe me backwards hurting my injured hand in the process. I groaned in pain and almost fell to the ground but I held myself and chuckled. “I need to see the king!" I yelled at them and tried to push my way inside and they pushed me away yet again.

When I heard the guards’ footsteps approaching, I held myself in between the giant flower pots in the hallway. When I saw that they had ran away, I chuckled and ran towards the king's office and just as I was about to enter, the door burst open and I collided with Angelica and Fenri who were walking out of the office.

“Lorena!” angelica smiled at me and grabbed my injured hand. “what the hell are you doing here?" she asked and I gritted my teeth trying to hide my pain. Fenrir stared at me with a questioning look and I knew at that moment that I had to revealed the truth about angelica and her lies.

“your highness, I am...” I was closed to revealing the truth but angelica covered my mouth blocking me from speaking.

“I shall now take my leave your highness,” angelica said and lowered her head before dragging me away to a corner in the hallways. When we were alone, she pinned me to the wall.

“what the hell were you thinking?" she asked as if she already knew why I was there.

“how could you reveal to everyone that found the pelitas trees when I did!” I shouted at her letting my emotions get the bes of me. “how could you do that to me when you called me your friend?”

“words are quick to spread” she lets go of my hand and grinned wickedly. "don't be such a bad friend Lorena. You and I are both friends and it's not bad that I took a little credit of your success,” she said.

“a little!” I scoffed. “you took all credits for it!’

“And it helps me because the king recognized my smartness and it all thanks to you," she smiled at me. “it was all thanks to your smart brains,” she rubbed my shoulders.

* really?" I blinked back the tears that were threatening to fall and forced myself to smile. I should have known that angelica wasn't to be trusted after she made it clear to me that she befriended in order to get close to the king. This was all her plan: and she was already getting the attention she wanted. It infuriates me so much that I wished that I could do something about it.

“Iam going to tell everyone that you are lying I said and she burst into laughter.

“who is going to believe a human over a werewolf, “she chuckled. “have you forgotten the world we live in huh?" she tutted. “ita world of werewolves darling. I hope you don't forget that,” she chuckled and turned to leave.

“did you even see me as your friend huh?" I asked her. She turned to face me and I nodded in response.

“you are still my friend Lorena and I know that you hate me right now but I had to do it and I don't regret it,” she tapped me on the shoulders and walked away leaving me all alone in the hallway. I clenched my fists and punched the wall. I felt my hand bleeding but I didn't care about it.

AllI cared about at that moment was how I was betrayed for someone I believed to be my friend. “The werewolves are all th same,” I chuckled and ruffled my hair.
