Beta Zachary Alan -POV 

“Beta Alan,” the woman in the reception called me, and I turned around to face her. “Alpha Blaze said to inform you that Alpha Vanguard will be in the hospital shortly,” she said with a seductive voice and I nodded my head and made my way to the front entrance. Exactly two minutes later, three black Mercedes Benz came into the hospital driveway, and the last car parked in front of the door. 

“Hey, why did you block your mind link?” Dimitri asked me. 

“I had important work,” I said skeptically and he gave me a mischievous smirk, and right then the car door opened, and out came Alpha Carmen Vanguard. He looked as charming as the last time I saw him with a challenging smirk plastered on his face. He walked towards the hospital entrance and stood right in front of me.

happened to you.” Carmen said with a smile on his face and he took large steps and positioned himself in front of my bed. 

“I didn’t expect to see you here, Carmen?” I asked him in a sickly sweet voice and I saw his jaw tick at my hidden disrespect. 

“No matter how mad I am with you, Sarah. You know that I will never be able to tolerate it if something might have happened to you.” he lied and took my hand in his and while

All of us turned around to see that the doctor was waiting outside and Alpha Blaze told her to come inside. “Alpha Blaze we would like to get a few testing done if you all could stay out for a minute,” she asked sweetly and he nodded his head and gestured for everyone to leave. 

“Miss.William, I want to let you know about something that came up in your test reports.” she started and I nodded my head for her to continue. 

“Do you know how you survived with the wolfbane in your system?” she asked me and I thought for a while but nothing came into my mind and that is when something that I dread crossed my mind. 

“Don’t tell me that Alpha Vanguard donated his blood to save my life?” I asked her in a panicked voice and she shook her head, 

“I think you are aware that only your mate would have been able to save you. But, just before Alpha Vanguard came here I came to take another sample of your blood and when we ran the sample we figured out that your blood had no traces. of the poison and it was mixed with someone else’s blood,” she said and my heart started to accelerate. “I thought that I should inform you about this,” she said. 

“Thank you, doctor. So, can I head back to my room now?” I asked her and she nodded her head.

“Who would have saved our life?” Jane asked me and I think I know who might be the culprit. As soon as the doctor left the room door opened again and this time only beta Alan entered the room. 

“What is going on between you and Alpha Vanguard?” was the first question he asked me. He was gritting his teeth and his eyes were narrowed down at me. 

“Beta Alan, I don’t think you have any right to know what relationship I have with aloha Vanguard,” I said with sass and got up from the hospital bed and wore the flu flops that were placed in front of me. “So, did he go?” I asked him and this made a puzzled look appear on his face. 

“Who?” 

“Alpha Vanguard.” 

“He said that he wants to stay here for a few weeks and try to persuade you to come back with him.” this news was like. a blow to my stomach. Carmen staying here is not a good idea because he had threatened me that he will make sure he gets me back by any means and I know that he will stoop low to get his job done. 

“Bu…but did Alpha Blaze agree to that?” I asked Beta Alan with a panicked look on my face.
