Sarah Williams – POV 

“You of all people, know how possessive a male wolf can get. And you tried to aggregate me back there,” he said, and for every word that came out of his mouth, he took a step closer to me till he was standing just an inch away from me. Our breaths were intermingling, creating a hypnotizing smell that made me want to pull him by his shirt collar and place a long kiss, but I resisted the urge to do that. 

“I guess we can compromise,” I spoke, and he raised one of his eyebrows at me. “I will work as your personal assistant from eight to three, and after that, I will go and work in my shop till I move back to the main pack,” I said, and he thought for a bit and took a step back and nodded his head. 

“That would work fine with me too.” He said and made his way to the table and took another paper from a file, and slid it across the table. I took the paper and read it thoroughly before I signed it and gave it to him. 

“Thank you for giving me the shop, Beta Alan,” I said, and he nodded his head. And when I was about to leave the room, he cleared his throat rather loudly. 

“You can come and collect the shop keys tomorrow. But before that, I want you to sign this paper also.” I looked at him to see that he was holding the previous paper in his hand, and I sighed before I begrudgingly signed that and soon left his office. 

“You know this is a bad idea, right?” Jane asked me, and I

“I didn’t know what else I can do, Jane. But at least I will get to make my dream come true.” I said, and she nodded her head before we both left for our room. The next day my training session was finished earlier than I expected, and I quickly made my way to my room and took a quick shower before I opened a second suitcase that I vowed never to open again. It was filled with my office clothes, and I sighed before I picked out a black pencil skirt that stopped just above the knee and paired it with a white blouse. “You are two minutes late, Miss.Williams.” this was the first thing that Beta Alna said when I entered his office, and I bit my tongue to not say anything sassy. 

“I am sorry, Beta Alan.” I gritted out, and he looked up from his paper works, and I gave him a pleasant fake smile.

“This is your work for today.” he placed a mountain of papers next to his laptop, and my mouth formed an ‘o‘ looking at all those papers. “This is the information of all the pack warriors, who are currently residing here. What you will have to do is to arrange everyone according to their strengths, with their first names in alphabetical order, and file them,” he said and turned his attention back to his computer. 

“But, Beta Alan, I don’t think I will be able to do all this within today. Can I split my work?” I asked him, and he shook was. 

“I want all this done before the end of the day. And your

cabin is next to mine. You can leave now.” he said, and I cursed him under my breath before I made my way to his desk and took half of the pile in my hand, and went to the next room. When I opened the door, I was instantly treated with the smell of feminine perfume that was at least a week old. 

So, he did have a secretary before. But what could have happened to her? 

The cabin was not that big but not too small either, I can tell that it was cozy. There was an oak table with a chair, with a huge glass window that was facing the forest. And on either side of the desk, there were bookshelves arranged with files, the room was painted in a white color that made it look big and bright, and next to the bookshelves there were two desks, one was empty, while the other one had a vase on it with dried roses. 

“We can find that out from the warriors here,” Jane 

suggested, and I nodded my head before I made my way back to his room again to get the remaining papers. After taking those papers, I walked towards his door when Beta Alan called my name. 

“As my secretary, you will have the task of attending all my calls and fixing my meetings according to my schedule,” he informed me, and I turned around and gave him a sickly sweet smile before I made my way back to my cabin. Three hours passed by, and I was starting to see letters wherever I looked. 

I think I need an extra strong coffee if I want to get this all done before three. 

I got up from the chair and stretched my aching bones, and when I was about to leave, someone barged into my room. It was a woman wearing a purple mini skirt and a skimpy top that left little to the imagination, with her face decorated like a Christmas tree. “Is Beta Alan in his room?” she asked me in an authoritative tone, and this made my anger surface, but I held myself back and nodded my head. 

“Do you have an appointment to meet him, ma’am?” I asked her, and she moved her head. 

“Yes, could you please hold his calls for the next half an hour, and please don’t let anyone come inside the room. We have a very important meeting,” she said, and I thought, maybe she is an investor or something, so I nodded my head. After bringing my cup of strong coffee, I sat back on my desk and went back to work.
