Staring ardently into her, Lucian walked a step near and grabbed her by the chin, lifting her eyes above to look into his eyes, “So…all you need from me is the consent to live here in the castle along with the child in your belly?”
“Y–Yes, Your Grace,” as he made her look into his eyes deeply while answering, Jasmine’s heart unknowingly started to flutter the moment he came closer to her again.
However, a small witty grin curved his luscious crimson l*ps as Lucian stared eagerly into her small oval face as he uttered, “What a fool! You know that you could have demanded something precious from me as a reward for proving your worth, right? But all you needed is my consent to live here?”
“That’s not the only thing I want…” Suddenly, Jasmine narrowed her eyes as they grew a little glum, making her tone sound somber, “Right now…I must survive and protect the innocent child I am bearing in my belly. And I am well aware, that I can’t do that here alone. I need you…that’s why I need the consent to stay by your side. In return, you can treat me as your slave, or can make me tend to your daily needs…or even in the bed, I will do my best to tend to satisfy you, Your Grace.”
Her voice grew a bit shaky and anxious, as she lowered her orbs down from him. Pursing her l*ps, she sounded a bit cryptic, “And once I am able to win over your faith in me…please…aid me to avenge the Rosewood pack, especially their Alpha. I want to hurt him way worse than what I had to go through… For that day, I am prepared to do anything…”

His words made her face grow a little dim and pale but without an objection, she sounded bold, “Since the moment I came here, I was prepared to do anything that you ask me, Your Grace. I have vowed my loyalty to you…and I will never go back on my words. But…”
“But?” As soon as her words trailed off, Lucian eagerly asked her by gawking deep into her fretful eyes.
She paused for a moment and exhaled a deep breath as she mumbled meeting his keen gaze, “I…can’t fall in love with you. Other than my heart, I can give you my everything…Your Grace.”
Her low mumble sounded gloomy enough to give Lucian the idea about the immense fear she must have harbored in her heart about love when she was sent into the Carpasian territory. He realized he was not the only one whose heart was wrecked to turn itself into a cold stone.
Her honest answer seemed to satisfy him quite a bit as soft caressing her
in hair strand to tuck behind her ear, Lucian gave a brief nod before he
whispered, “Then if I agree to all of your conditions, you know what you are getting yourself into? Right?”
