Chapter 13

“What!” I asked confused and Alec rolled his eyes.

“Someone explain to her. I’m going to go rest” he muttered and walked out the hall with Anna behind him.

“Sit down Emily” Nat said and pulled me to the stage.

I sat on the stage as they all surrounded me.

“Alec, he has been cursed” Nat said and I gasped

“By who?” I asked confused

“By a warlock called James. Your parents might know about it. Because he wanted your mom. Has your parents ever told you that?” Liam asked as Nat sat down on the stage

“My mom told me when she found me. I was with the moon goddess. I don’t remember how I died or anything about my parents. And that’s when I met mom. She’s my adopted mom. And that’s how she told me. But he was dead. Mom killed him” I explained and Nat nodded

“Yeah. But before that James, knew Alec’s parents. Alec’s mom was cheating on her mate with James. And when Mick, Alec’s dad found out, he killed her. And James got angry and cursed Alec. The curse was only activated when James died. And the only way for him to be saved is if he finds his mate. But Alec gave up after his dad died. For 5 years Anna has been with Alec and she uses her magic to extend his days. But now he only has a month left.” Nat explained

“What! So how do I save him?” I jumped off the stage

“He has to mark you. That’s when the curse breaks. But James knew that Alec never wanted a mate. That why he made it impossible for Alec to do it. Alec doesn’t beileve in mates. He believes in love. Naturally not by the moon goddess. That’s why he’s never going to mark you or accept you” Cameron said

“But He has to live” I muttered

“But he has accepted his fate Emily. He knows he’s going to die anyway so he has given up. James cursed Alec when he was 3 years old. Your 19 right? Alec tried looking with his dad for you for a very long time. But when his dad died,when Alec was 17, he gave up. He accepted his fate!” Liam said and I sighed

“But I can try” I looked at them and Nat shrugged

“Maybe. Let’s go back now because it’s 10 o’clock.” Cameron said and I nodded

We all walked out the hall and to the car. Liam drove us home and when we got there, everyone went to their rooms. I went to my old room and washed my face, got changed into my onesie and laid in bed. I closed my eyes and tried to go to sleep.

“Please. Please don’t Cameron. I won’t run away again” I screamed as he smirked and shook his head

“shut up bitch. You have to take this. You think you can use your powers to get out of here? Stupid. You can never leave this place. Do you understand!” He shouted stabbing an injection in me.

“Ahh” I screamed and he laughed.

“This will teach you a lesson bitch. Now you’re going to stay in this room for week. We’ll see how you fucking act after this” he smirked closing the door behind him and leaving me in a dark room.

“Please Cameron. Please” I crawled closer to the door where I could see his shadow under the door.

“Please let me out! I promise to be good”

“Emily wake up” I gasped and sat up in bed.

“No! Leaving me alone. Please” I screamed moving to the corner of the bed.

“It’s me Alec.” I heard him say just as he turned alone light on.

“Are you oka-” I hugged him tightly.

“Please Alec. Don’t let him get me” I cried and he wrapped his arms around me.

“Shush” he ran a hand on my back.

“Please Alec” I tightened my hands around his neck.

“It’s okay Emily. I’m here” he picked me up

I held onto him tightly as he walked out of my room

“Don’t let me go Alec” I mumbled leaning my head slowly on his shoulder.

“I won’t. I promise” he replied laying me on the bed. He pulled the covers over me and was about to turn but I shook my head.

“Please stay Alec. Please?” I asked and he nodded.

He closed the door and the light, and laid in bed next to me.

“Good night” he mumbled and I closed my eyes

I woke up feeling sick. I opened my eyes and sat up in bed. Everything that happened yesterday night came back to me. I looked down to see Alec laying in bed, one arm around my waist, and the other off the bed. His hair was in his eyes, and he was smiling slightly. He looked really cute!

I moved his hair from his eyes and he opened them and looked at me.

“Morning” he mumbled closing them again.

“Morning” I replied and he sat up in bed. He was shirtless, and he had a 6 pack. Hot

“Are you okay?” He asked looking at me and I looked up at him and nodded

“Yes. Thank you. Sorry that I woke you up” I said and he shook his head

“I couldn’t sleep yesterday so you didn’t wake me up. Does it happen often?” He asked getting out of bed and he was only wearing boxers.

“Once a week. Sometimes twice” I mumbled blushing and playing with the covers.

“You can go have a shower” he said and I shook my head.

“You can go have shower first. When I have a nightmare like this, normally I can’t get out of bed. My legs they give up” I mumbled embarrassed and he nodded.

It’s one of the side affects I got after getting my powers.

“Okay” he replied and walked to the closet. He came back with a big t-shirt in his hand and climbed on the bed

“What are you doing?” I asked as he looked at me.

“You need to have a shower Emily. It will help you relax. And I’ll take you to the doctor. To see about your legs. Does it happen often?” He asked and I nodded

“Every time I have a nightmare, I have leg aches. I can’t walk on them for a couple of hours.” I explained and he nodded.

“Okay. Take your onesie off and wear this.” He said and I nodded slowly.

I pulled the zip down for the onesie as he turned around. I pulled it off my legs and threw it on the floor and he looked at me.

“Alec” I squeaked covering myself.

“Emily. It’s okay” he said looking into my eyes. I slowly removed my hands and he pulled me up.

“Hold onto my shoulders” he said and I nodded. I couldn’t feel my legs.

I was on my knees, like him and he put the shirt over me. I put my hands threw and he sat me back down on the bed.

“I’ll start a bath for you” he said and walked off the bed. I laid back down and smiled at the ceiling

Alec is being very sweet. Why?

“Emily” he said walking out and I quickly sat up

“Come on. I’ll take you to the bathroom” he said walking towards the bed.

“Alec. You go. I’ll have a shower later.” I mumbled pulling the shirt over my stomach. You could see my white bra and panties.

“Emily you’re beautiful. Don’t hide yourself” he smiled slightly at me

“And you need to eat now because you haven’t eaten since yesterday. You need energy” he said lifting me off the bed.

He picked me up bridal style and walked to the bathroom.

“Why are you being nice to me Alec?” I asked confused as he put me in the bath and took the shirt off me leaving me in my bra and panties.

“I want to Emily. I-I’m sorry about yesterday. About Chase. Chase has a mind of his own ever since my dad died. And sometimes it’s a little hard to control him” he mumbled rubbing a coconut shower gel over my body.

“It’s okay Alec. It was just new to me” I whispered and he nodded

“I’m sorry I have been acting like an asshole” he muttered and I smiled

“Alex it’s okay. You don’t have to apologise. Did you make Anna the luna yesterday?” I asked and he shook his head opening my braid

Alec is very sweet. And I like it. A lot.

“No. Anna is my girlfriend Emily. And I do love Anna. I know I shouldn’t be saying this to you because you are my mate. But I don’t beileve in mates” he said and I nodded

“I know. Nat explained everything to me yesterday. Sometimes I don’t beileve in mates as well. I think if you fall in love, it should be because you want to. Not that you have to fall in love because of a bond” I said looking at the water and he nodded

“Yeah. I didn’t make Anna the luna yesterday because I do love her but she’s not capable of becoming the luna of this pack. A luna needs to be strong and a good role model to everyone in the pack. And Anna is strong but she’s not a good role model. She didn’t protect the pack when she had to” he explained stopping next to by bra.

“May I?” He asked and I nodded

He un clipped the bra and put it outside the bath.

“Are you okay if I do it? Or do you want to do it yourself?” He asked

“I want to do it myself” I blushed and he nodded and gave me the sponge and sat back on a chair.

“I beileve in that too. Anna has been with be since I was 17. She’s the reason I am living now. If it wasn’t her I wouldn’t be here. I owe her my life. That’s why I am with her” he muttered looking at his hands as I washed my self

“So you don’t love Anna?” I asked and he sighed

“I did love her Emily. When I was 17. I did. Now I’m 22 and it changed. I don’t love her anymore. But I want to be with her because she loves me. And I feel selfish if I break up with her. I feel like I used her just to cure myself. And I can’t do that to her.” He told me and I nodded and rinsed myself.

“I understand Alec. You feel like if you leave her now, she’s going to think you used her. It’s because of me. It’s because you found your mate, so she’s obviously going to think you used her until you found me. I understand Alec. But you can’t be with a girl and play with her feelings. She is a girl Alec and I can see that she loves you to much to lose you. Don’t break her heart just because you don’t love her. You both have been together for a long time, don’t let it all go to waste” I said washing my hair.

“I won’t Emily. But then I feel bad. For you! I know we have this bond between us and if I reject you, I die. And I really don’t want to die. This pack needs me. But I can’t mark you as well because then the bond will grow and I don’t want that. I want you to be happy as well Emily. But then I get jealous when you’re with someone else. I feel like killing them. And it’s because of this stupid bond. Only if there was a way to do both. Save myself and get rid of this bond so you can be free” he said as he stood up and helped me out. He wrapped a towel around me and carried me back to the bed.

“Have you tried? Anna is a witch, maybe she can try something. She can get rid of this bond between us” I felt like killing myself for saying this.

I don’t want the bond to go. I don’t. I want Alec. But does that make me selfish?

“Anna isn’t an experienced witch. She’s like a beginner. Maybe we could find something in the library?” He questioned bringing a big shirt and some shorts from his closet and walking towards me.

“Maybe we could” I said as I dried myself and wore the shirt over my body. I pulled my wet panties down and pulled the shorts over.

“Do you want to get rid of the mate bond Emily?” He asked and I sighed

“Y-Yeah” I lied and he smiled

“Thank you” he said and I shook my head.

“Alec. Can you help me?” I asked and he nodded.

“Alec. Do you know anything about the Royal Crystal Pack?” I asked and he froze. He turned around and looked at me confused.

“Why?” He asked

“I heard someone talk about it. Which pack is that?” I asked and he walked towards the sofa and sat down next to me.

“Emily if a rouge here you talking like that, there would be no mercy. Rouges hate the Royal Crystal Pack. They were the only pack of vampires. Normally vampires are in clans or coven. They don’t like to be called packs. But like they name say, they were the Royals. The Kings of the whole supernatural race. But there is no more left” he said and I was confused.

But Sam said I was from that pack?

“But what if there was one left, then what would happen?” I asked and he rolled his eyes

“I pray for that person. Some supernaturals don’t like the Royals because they changed the law. I think they did a good job. If it weren’t for them half of us wouldn’t be here. And they helped my dad with this pack a lot. They helped a lot of people. They were nice people” Alec said standing up

“But how did they all die?” I asked

“Everyone who hated them got together and burned their kingdom down. The place still exist but you have to me a royal or part of their pack to enter” he said and I nodded

“See if you can walk?” He asked and I nodded. I held his hand and stood up

“I can feel my legs now. Thank you for helping me” I smiled at him and he nodded

“It’s okay. Let’s go eat and then we will find a book about breaking a bond” he said helping me walk to the kitchen where Nat and Liam was

“Wow. You guys completed the mating as well?” Liam asked looking at me.

“Yes. When me and Jack tasted it I loved it. I never had chocolate cake in my life except recently” I said as Nat put the cake infront of me and handed me a spoon.

“Jack?” Alec asked, his tone was acid.

“Yes Jack. I haven’t talked to Jack for a very long time. Alec can I go back to my dad’s pack?” I asked and he shook his head.

“No!” He shouted his eyes turning black and then he smirked.

“You’re mine baby” he smirked at me and I stopped eating. I looked and Liam for help and he sighed.

“Chase give him control back!” Liam shouted and chase growled loudly

“I am your alpha. Don’t you dare shout at me!” Chase said and pulled me close to him.

“I’ll be back Emily. It’s not safe for Nat” Liam said and pulled Nat out of the kitchen.

Chase is like a big baby I thought smiling to myself.

“I love your lips. They taste like chocolate” he mumbled pulling my chair closer to him and kissing me.

“And I love your smile, your cheeks especially when you blush. And I love your eyes and I love your hair” he complimented me and I blushed even darker.

“Thank you. But Chase, your part of the deal?” I said and he nodded

“And I love you” he leaned down to my ear and whispered.

“Sorry emil-” I heard Liam mutter walking back into the room and chase moved back his eyes changing back

“Sorry about Chase. He doesn’t listen to me much” Alec mumbled and I shook my head.

“Don’t worry. I love Chase. He’s better than some people” I smiled and jumped off the stool.

“I don’t know” I smiled and walked out the room.

“Hey!” I heard him shout and run up to me

“But it’s the truth. I do like Chase more than some people” I repeated and he rolled his eyes

“Shall we go to the library?” I asked and he nodded just as Anna walked down the steps.

“Morning” I smiled at her and she rolled her eyes and looked at Alec

“Baby where are you going?” She asked

“That was rude Anna” Alec told her and she sighed

“Anna..” he warned

“That’s it Alec. Either we are over or you leave her!” Anna exclaimed

“Fine. We are over then! Come on Emily” Alec muttered and walked out of the house.

“This is all your fault. I don’t know what the fuck you are, because no vampire doesn’t have stupid powers. But I’m warning you Emily. Alec is mine. He doesn’t want you okay?” She walked away.

I ran out of the house to see Alec walking into another small house.

“Alec wait!” I shouted but he carried on walking.

I ran to the small house just as I ran into someone.

“I’m so sorr-Cam?” I asked as he looked down at me.

“Why were you running?” He asked confused

“Alec. He went inside this house. I’ll see you later” I told him and ran into the house.

It was one big library. The bookshelves never seemed to end.

“Alec?”

“I’m here.” He waved his hand up and he was standing next to a big shelf.

I walked up to him and sat down on the chair.

“What happene-”

“I found it. Buts just one page. What the fuck?” He muttered and bought a book to the table. He sat down and opened the book to the middle.

They all came together and burned their kingdom down. It said that the king and Queen were unaware of the attack. Their whole pack died in the attack but the kingdom still lives. The kingdom was protected by the king. He protected the kingdom because of his memories with his daughter. He wanted everyone to know that they kingdom will never die because of his daughter. He had this wish that his daughter will return and look after the kingdom. But it sad to say that they daughter died along them” I closed the book and wiped my eyes

I am stupid for crying I thought standing up.

I looked at the clock to see it was 5. Wow the whole day went by quickly I thought walking out the house.

I went back to the pack house to see Anna and Alec kissing. I turned around to see Nat glaring at me. She held my hand and pulled me to the sofa.

“What shall we watch today Emily?” She asked as Anna looked at us and rolled her eyes

“Come on baby” Anna pulled Alec out of the room.

“Emily. I told you to stay in the room when they be sucking each other’s faces off” Nat said laying down on the sofa, and putting her head on my lap.

“I can’t Nat. Alec wants to get rid of our mate bond” I told her and she looked up at me.

“What! But he..” she kept quiet

“I know Nat. But I’m going to do it. Anna needs Alec.”

“But you need Alec as well Emily. Don’t you understand? You need him and he needs you!” She exclaimed sitting up

“Buy Nat he doesn-” I felt pain in my chest again.

“Ahh” I screamed and she jumped up and laid my head on the sofa.

“I’m so sorry Emily. Alec is an asshole.” She muttered laying me on the sofa.

“It hurts Nat. Please make it stop” I yelled and she sighed

“Shush. It’s going to be okay” she mumbled before I fell into darkness.
