Chapter Seventeen

“What is the matter little wolf?” Sebastian asks as I get in our own tent as I growl.

“If one more vampire attacks my pack I will kill them all” I growl as he smirks.

“Relax” He kneels behind me as he lifts my top from my body and kisses my skin as his hands glide over my skin roughly.

I feel like I’m losing my focus as his power surges through me with a punch as I turn to him, pushing him on the bed as I straddle him, grinding against him as we moan together.

“You’re mine little wolf…All mine” He smirks as he rips off my clothes and plunges into me roughly as I cry out.

As we finish in a sweaty mess I fall to the side and my stomach grumbles.

“Are you hungry little wolf?” He laughs.

“Yeah, I need to hunt” I sigh.

“Then go hunt, but hurry, I don’t feel like resting for long” Sebastian winks as I get up and shift as I dart out and into the trees surrounding us.

“Alpha!” I hear Oliver call out through the link as I feel him follow me.

“What?” I snap.

“Thought you could do with some company” He replies.

“I don’t need company, go back to the others” I growl in warning.

“Alpha…” He cocks his head.

Stop being an ass…Focus…He got you again!

“Fuck! I’m sorry Oliver!” I cry through our link as I notice I had let Sebastian get to me again.

“That man…The magic wielder…He has some sort of control over you doesn’t he?” Oliver asks.

“Yes…” I sigh.

My stomach growls again as he looks at me with amusement before darting ahead of me.

“Let’s find food” he laughs as we dart deep into the trees as we sniff out food.

But I smell something else…A wolf…

“Oliver!” I call out as he looks back and darts back to my side as we walk cautiously through the trees.

In the distance I see a few figures standing together, two wolves and something…different… I sniff.

I stand still in shock.

“Serena?” A voice calls out as they notice us lurking in the dark.

“Alpha? Who is that?” Oliver growls in warning.

I shift to human form before squealing, remembering I had been naked before shifting last and went back to my wolf form.

“Here, take this” A long t-shirt is thrown my way before I dart behind a tree and shift, putting on the t-shirt and coming out again.

“Daddy?” I murmur as I walk forward before running into his arms crying.

“I’m here sweetheart, I’m here” He strokes my hair.

“Serena…You did a stupid thing” Lucien snaps behind my father.

“If I didn’t do what I did you wouldn’t have someone on the inside right now” I snap back.

“No…Instead you have been almost killing your mate and close to losing yourself and getting everyone killed!” He shouts.

“Lucien! Enough!” My father growls as Lucien whimpers and steps back.

“I’m sorry daddy” I murmur.

“Alpha! I smell a vampire” Oliver growls as we all shift.

“I knew she was a traitor…Working with a hunter…” One of Elise’s vampires comes creeping through the trees as I growl angrily.

A shot is fired by my side suddenly as the vampires eyes go wide and falls to the ground as he burns into ashes.

“I hate vampires” The man beside us huffs and puts his gun in his holster as I walk up to him and shift.

“Who and what are you? You don’t smell human” I search his eyes as he looks at me with a smirk.

“I’m a hunter…A new breed of hunter though” He says cockily, folding his arms.

“Alpha, if he was here then I have no doubt others will follow” Oliver says behind me with worry.

“He’s right. We must work quickly” My dad answers.

“What’s the plan?” I ask as my eyes survey the area.

“We will surround the site in the morning, you will have your wolves take down as many magic wielders as you can tonight…” Lucien says.

“How do you expect us to do that?” Oliver snaps.

“With these” The hunter brings out a string of syringes as I snatch them.

“What are they?” I ask.

“Powerful mix that will drain their powers away, they will become human” The hunter smirks.

“Oh really…That could be fun” I smirk as I think of plunging one into Sebastian.

“Elise is going to sense something…” Oliver huffs.

“I’ll deal with Elise” I growl.

“You have enough to deal with when it comes to Sebastian” Lucien snaps as I glare at him.

“And he will die, slowly and painfully for everything he’s done to me and my mate” I snarl.

“If he doesn’t take control again cupcake” He says as I storm up to him.

“He won’t” I snap.

“Stop arguing, it’s like having small children again. Now, you will wipe out the magic wielders tonight while they sleep. Then make sure your pack are all in one group, watch each other’s backs and wait for our signal. Try not to get caught tonight though…” Dad says as his fingers caress my cheek lovingly.

“We’ll be fine dad” I nod.

“Alpha…Elise is getting antsy, Liv heard her looking for you” Oliver says as he shifts, sniffing the air.

“You have to go…Now” I urge my father, Lucien, and the hunter.

“I’ll need my t-shirt back” Dad smirks

I tie the syringes around my leg so they would transform with me. Luckily, years ago witches or magic wielders put a spell on our kind that anything that we wore would shift with us.

“Turn around, all of you” I order as they turn, I take off the t-shirt and shift into my wolf as I yip.

“We will be a family again soon sweetheart. Be brave” Dad smiles as they all run off.

“Let’s find a deer” Oliver nods at me as we sniff the air looking for a deer to fill our bellies.

We found one quickly and tore into it as I smelt Elise nearby.

“Serena!” She calls as I howl in return.

“I wondered where you were” She looks at me as if trying to look for something missing.

I turn my head towards the deer as she nods slowly.

“You were hungry?” She asks as I nod, nodding at Oliver to take the rest of the carcass back to the tents for some of the others.

“Are you sure?” he links.

“Go…I’ll be along shortly” I order, and he picks it up with his teeth and runs off back to the camp.

“Why aren’t you shifting?” Elise asks.

I shake my head before nipping at her clothes in hope she would understand.

“Sebastian got to you… Naked are we?” she chuckles as I nod.

“Then we need to get you back… I want to be able to talk to you” She says as we run quickly back to camp where I dart into the tent with Sebastian fast asleep.

I shift and chuck on some clothes, hiding the syringes underneath the waist of my trousers.

“Mmm hello again little wolf” Sebastian murmurs as I quickly pull my top down.

“Elise needs me, I’ll be back” I say as I kiss his lips, trying not to shiver at his touch.

“I’ll come with you” he sighs as he puts on his clothes, I roll my eyes and make my way out.

We walk to the main tent as Elise is sat with a group of people.

“Who are they?” I ask Sebastian.

“They are my fellow magic wielders” He grins as I begin to get nervous, his hand presses against my back.

“Oliver, look through my eyes, take note of these faces, these are the magic wielders” I link to him as I allow him to see through me.

“Little wolf, you seem nervous” Sebastian kisses my neck as I feel Oliver be pushed out.

“THIS is the wolf alpha…this girl…” One of the men laughs at me as he looks at me with disgust.

“Don’t antagonise her, she has quite the temper on her Jedrick” Sebastian laughs.

“I can feel her power Sebastian, do you have control?” A woman walks up to me.

“Oliver…We might have a problem!” I growl through the link as hard as I can.

“I’m on it!” He says back.

“Elise! Elise! The wolves, they are ripping apart the men!” A vampire flits to Elise as she huffs and glares at me.

“I’m on it” I nod as I run out the tent with a sigh of relief as I shift and run to Oliver and the others who are surrounded by vampires.

“Back off, go back to the tents guys” I order them as I nod at Oliver, thanking him for his distraction.

“They ripped apart my friend! They deserve to die!” I’m faced with an angry vampire as his eyes glare at Oliver.

I shift and face him.

“Save it for the real enemy, save it for the hunters” I growl.

“I agree, move it boys” Elise nods to me and pushes her men away.

“I’ll deal with my pack” I huff trying to look disappointed and angry at them as I head into the tent. She stays outside.

“What the fuck is wrong with you all!? I should banish you all right here right now!” I growl as I wink at them, I unclip the syringes from my waist as I pass them to Oliver.

“When they go to sleep we will deal with them” Oliver says through the link.

“We’re sorry alpha. Won’t happen again” Liv winks.

“The next wolf to disobey me will face dire consequences, you’ll be thrown in with the humans and the vampires can deal with you” I growl as I hear Elise chuckle and flit away.

I put a finger to my lips and signal that we are still being listened to outside.

“Pass me one syringe” I ask Oliver as I tuck one into my waistband once more, one for Sebastian.

“We’ll get through this alpha” Oliver says as he seems to notice my worried expression.

“I hope so” I say back.

“We’ll see the task done Alpha Serena” Liv smiles.

“Thank you” I nod, take a breath and head back outside.

I can feel I was being watched as I head towards the tent that Sebastian and I shared.

“I don’t think our meeting was over wolf” Jedrick smirks beside me as he tuts at me.

“I’m tired, I’m sure if it was that important Sebastian will tell me” I roll my eyes as he follows me closely.

As I get into the tent Sebastian is nowhere to be seen and Jedrick holds me by the throat.

“Sebastian is weak, he is young. You aren’t under his hold are you wolf, you broke free didn’t you…My, my, you are a strong little bitch” He laughs as my fingers grasp his hand trying to release his grip before going to my waist and grabbing a syringe and plunging it into his neck as he looks at me with wide eyes as the liquid plunges into him. His grip stays around my neck, but the power flowing through him begins to ebb as I knock his hands from my neck, coughing.

“You little bitch…What did you do?” He says, snapping his fingers.

“What the fuck Serena?!” Sebastian bursts in and finds me dropping his body to the ground.

“Sebastian! He…He…he tried to kill me” I pretend to cry as I jump into his arms.

“Alpha?!” I hear Liv shout in my mind, my pack had clearly felt my discomfort.

“I need a new syringe!” I shout back in my mind as Sebastian guides us to the bed.

“I’m going to get the others and find out what happened here, my cousin is great at revival spells” He says.

“No…Please don’t leave me” I beg as I kiss him to distract him. He takes the bait and begins to undress us both as his fingers caress my body as I see Liv sneak in behind.

“Let me mark you Sebastian” I moan as Liv looks at me wide-eyed.

“When I go to bite him, stab it in him” I link to her and she nods.

“You wish to mate with me?” He says wide-eyed.

“Yes my love, let me mark you” I smile as his grin gets bigger.

“Do it, we can be together forever little wolf” he moans underneath me as I tilt his head, extending my teeth as I go to bite Liv jams the syringe into his neck as I let my teeth bite in slightly too as he hisses out.

“Go back to the others Liv” I order, and she nods, running off with Oliver who waits for her outside.

I lift my head, wiping my mouth.

“Is that it?” He yawns.

“Yes, for now.” I smile as his hand begins caressing my side. He frowns.

“What…Where…What have you done?!” He shouts as I cover his mouth.

“Shhhhhh, go to sleep” I say as I grab him in my arms and put him in a sleeper hold as he struggles against me before he’s finally out cold.

“Two down…” I smirk linking to the rest of the pack.

“Make that four” Oliver says back as I laugh.

“Well done. Be careful” I reply.

I use some of the bedsheets to tie Sebastian up and gag him as I stuff him into a trunk that was in the room.

“Sleep tight asshole” I smirk.

“Three left but they are all in the big tent with Elise” Liv says as I make my way out.

“Little wolf, where’s your master? We want to see Sebastian” A group of vampires are stood outside my tent as I swear under my breath.

“He went for a walk, got a little angry that his friend tried to kill his girl” I answer.

“Bullshit…Which friend?” He asks as I dart back in and drag out Jedrick’s body.

“He smells…Human” He sniffs.

“So would you if Sebastian drained you of your power” I growl.

“What way did he go?” he snaps.

“Follow me” I throw Jedrick’s body over my shoulder as I lead them into the trees.

“Need a little help guys” I say to my pack as I hear them all call out they were on their way.

“Where is he?!” The three vampires glare at me as I stop and throw down Jedrick’s body.

“Somewhere here…I think” I shrug as I smirk, my pack behind them as they leap onto the vampires before they even turned, shredding them to bits.

“We’ll wipe the lot before your dad even turns up at this rate” Oliver laughs as he shifts to human form, one of the wolf begins digging in the earth as he hides the bodies amongst the earth before covering it again.

“Make sure that they won’t smell them” Oliver orders as the wolves begin peeing on the ground.

“Seriously…” I laugh.

“Best way to cover the smell of blood” Oliver laughs.

“So, three left and they are all together…How are we going to do it?” Liv asks.

“We need to split them all up…somehow…” I sigh.

“Alpha…What if we cause distractions in three sites…” one of the other wolves says.

“Elise will get suspicious” I shake my head.

“We will have to wait until they sleep” Liv answers with a sigh.

“Give me them. Get some rest guys…If vampires keep seeing you guys wandering around they will get suspicious too” I sigh as Oliver hands me the last three vials.

“We’ll be taking it in turns to look out so if you need us alpha, call on us” Oliver bows his head.

“Thank you Oliver, all of you” I nod as they head off back to the tents.

I walk back towards the main tent as I walk in Elise and the last three are all talking in hushed whispers before going silent at my entry.

“I can leave if you’re busy” I murmur.

“No, it’s fine…Have you seen Sebastian?” Elise smiles.

“He’s asleep, I…Uh…may have worn him out” I wiggle my eyebrows suggestively.

“That man always did have a thing for pretty little girls” The woman from earlier says as she eyes me up and down.

“Are we all set for tomorrow Elise?” I ask as I sit beside her, away from the magic wielders.

“As long as your wolves don’t try and kill anyone else tonight” She smirks at me.

The woman scoffs as I glare at her.

“Do you have a problem with me?” I sit forward.

“I have a problem with your lack of control. I also think you’re keeping secrets little one” She smirks at me evilly.

“What secrets could I possibly be hiding?” I roll my eyes sitting back.

“Like Sebastian does not have you under control…Does he?” She smirks.

“Control…What do you mean? Why would he control me? I love him” I act shocked.

“Isabelle” Elise snaps.

“You can’t seriously believe her!” Isabelle snaps back, standing as her hand raises as I screech, lifting from the ground.

“Put her down!” Elise shouts.

“You do…You believe her…She’s got you all under her little wolf paw” Isabelle glares at me as she puts me down.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about!” I force tears to come from my eyes.

“How about we all go to bed and ready ourselves for the day ahead of us!” Elise claps her hand as Isabelle glares at me.

“Fine…But when she goes against you, don’t come running to me Elise” Isabelle rushes out the room as the other two follow quickly.

“No one trusts me Elise” I cry.

“They will when we’re done they will bow down to you sweetheart. Go back to Sebastian, go to bed.” She kisses my cheek and heads out.

I walk around the camp in my wolf form as I listen to the heartbeats around me, listening for when they fall asleep. Most of the vampires had gone to feed, finding local humans…There wasn’t much I could do about that right now…I had to finish this…

A heart beat slows as I shift outside a tent, one of the weaker ones had fallen asleep as I snuck into the tent, slowly injecting her with the mix as she grumbles in her sleep as I pull it out and leave the tent quickly.

Two more…

The next one was just as easy to sneak in, but she woke up as I put in the needle, I snapped her neck and swore quietly under my breath.

“I’ve got it Alpha” One of my wolves said as I got outside, he took the body quickly and went into the woods to dispose of it as I sighed in relief when he re-joined the others.

“One left…” I said to the others in my pack, none were asleep as I felt their uneasiness.

“She seems powerful” Liv says.

“She is…That’s what scares me” I sigh as I hear her slowing heart as I wander the camp as if patrolling the area.

The night was slowly turning into morning as it became the early hours, birds were beginning to chirp as vampires began to return.

“You need to hurry Alpha” Oliver murmurs.

I shift into my human form as I dart into Isabelle’s tent…But she isn’t in there…The heartbeat…It’s a recording…

“She played me…” I say through the link.

“Where is she then?” My wolves begin to panic.

“Stick together, it’s nearly time, I’ll find her” I order as I rush back out the tent.

“Serena! Just the person I was looking for! Isabelle found someone sneaking around the camp!” Elise flits to me as she drags me to the main tent.

“Just in time little Alpha” Isabelle smirks as I notice a bloodied and bruised body on the floor.
