Chapter 48 

“I present, Rielle Archer, Silverpine’s Luna and my 

mate.” 

I felt my breath pushed out of me and my knees felt weak,like jelly. My head began to spin and the only thought in my mind was, “Lucien has betrayed me once, again.” 

The Elders nodded in approval and I saw Nathaniel Archer,Rielle’s grandfather smile softly as he nodded in approval. The maids clapped and I swallowed hard.

“The Luna is with Child. She’ll be having my little pup soon,” he said with a smile,turning to Rielle as he held her hand.

After the elders left,I sulked to my room. I don’t know what Rielle did or how she managed to make Lucien trust her, I must find out.

“Eve took him,” she said and I nodded and began to walk away. 

“Amara?,” she called out and I stopped and spun around.

I walked briskly to Rielle’s room,the Luna’s room and went inside. The guards tried to stop me,but I told them She sent me. I looked around the room,hoping to find a clue,anything to prove that she isn’t who they thought she is. 

I was about to open a bag that was under the bend when I heard a voice.

“What did you do to Lucien?,” I asked calmly. 

She chuckled, “if by doing something to him,you mean why he made me Luna?,” she smiled. “You tell me.”

I hissed as I clenched my fist. “I don’t care about you becoming Luna, Rielle. I just want my son!,” 

“Oh..as you can see,I don’t have him,” she said as pushed the bag further inside,under the bed. 

“What is in that bag?,” I questioned as I glared at her,suspiciously. 

“I’ll assume you’re here to celebrate with me on becoming Luna,” she said as she walked towards the refrigerator. 

“No,” I said and she turned back. 

“What did you say?,” 

“No!. I did not come here to felicitate with you!,over what should’ve been mine!,” I sighed and unclenched my fist. 

“You can have Lucien, I don’t care. I’ll leave quietly. Just give me my son!,” I said,my eyes already brimming with tears. 

“Please,” I added. 

She chuckled as she turned around and brought out a bottle of wine,she brought out two glasses. 

“Here,” she said,handing over one of the glasses to me. 

I hesitated and she sighed. “You’d better take it or I’ll be forced to believe that you don’t wish me well,” she said and I clenched my fist and swallowed hard. 

I had to keep my cool. I really couldn’t fight her. The other day was just a stroke of luck. She’d beat me if I were to try anything. I couldn’t fight,I was just ‘unhurtable‘ 

I stretched out my arm and took a glass,and she poured the wine for me. 

“Cheers to me becoming Luna,” She said and I forced a smile. 

There were guards just outside her door,I really couldn’t do anything. 

“You can’t even be a mother and you’re hoping to become Luna,” she said,chuckling and I swallowed hard. I had to just let her be.

I was curious to know what she told Lucien. 

“What did you tell him happened to your nose?,” I asked and I saw her expression change,she looked furious.

I gulped down the entire drink in a single shot and faced her.

She leaned closed to me and whispered, “If we’re being kind,we’ll send you his remains after the blood moon,” she said it with a smile etched on her face and I began to breath heavily,clenching and unclenching my fist and trying to calm a raging Nova from taking over. 

“You should be glad you have one of them,” she said again and burst out laughing. 

I closed my eyes and kept seeing Eve’s face, how she was pleading with me not to give in to Rielle,not to let her make me lose my cool.

“What the hell!!. What happened here,Amara?,” I didn’t know when Lucien entered the room. I kept quiet as he helped Rielle up and made her lay on the bed. 

He had already told the maids to quickly bring a healer.

The tears were now all over my face. “Lucien please!,please you have to find our son, find Kai..I don’t care if you decide to make her the Luna,just find Kai,” I said. and he motioned for the guards to take me out. 

As they dragged me out,I kept yelling at him to find Kai. I cried bitterly. I wept as I made a decision that could change everything,as Rielle and Lucien gave me no 

other choice.
