Chapter 49 

I was getting used to Rielle being the Luna. I totally avoided any interaction with her and finally got Lucien to promise to not stop looking for Kai. 

I figured out that since I wasn’t Luna,there was no point in staying in the mansion. I informed Eve,telling her that it would be the best as we would be able to easily leave for Greyvine without explaining to anyone. 

I walked briskly to Lucien’s room and was informed that he was in the deliberation 

room. 

As soon as I reached there,I knocked, this time,not willing to see his tongue shoved deep inside Rielle’s throat. 

I stated my presence and was told to go in. I entered and met him and Greyson. 

Greyson ex himself and he dropped the paper he was holding. 

“A drink?,” he asked and I shook my head,declining his offer as I sat down. 

“I’ll be moving out of the mansion tomorrow. I and Eve,” I stated and he nodded.

“Where will you go?, will you be alright?,” he asked and I scoffed. It’s not like he cared,he should just drop the caring act!. 

“I have a home,you know, Even if I don’t have any parents anymore,they have a home and I’m going back there,besides, there are lots of places to go out there,” I pointed out.

As if he’s worried about me. It’s not like Eve can even protect me. 

“Well, then. That’s all I wanted to inform you about,” I stated and stood up to leave. 

Partly disappointed that he didn’t object to my leaving. Like he was excited about me leaving. I was expecting him to tell me to stay,that he had come to realize that Rielle was a liar and that he wants me back. I chuckled,of course all those were my imaginations. 

Whatever Rielle had said to Lucien must have been very

“I really wish I could convince you to stay,” I spun around so fast that I was even surprised at my speed. 

He didn’t just say what I thought I heard. 

“Pardon?,” 

“I wish I could convince you not to go,” he said again and I scoffed.

“Because well..I think it’d be best for you to stay here,it’s safe and I could watch over you,” He said in a calm tone. 

I clenched my fist and inhaled deeply,trying to soothe my raging temper. 

“Rielle is here goddamit!, and you’ve made her your Luna!, of what use am I here?,despite us having children together,we’re just mere strangers,” I exclaimed aloud. 

“And,your point is?,” he glanced at me,raising a brow. 

“I highly doubt the fact that you’re an idiot. I won’t stay in this house when there’s another woman!,” I exclaimed. 

He chuckled and shook his head. “I’ll excuse the insult. But then,You are the mother of my boys,” 

“And she is your Luna!, you made her that!,you called her your mate!,” I exclaimed.

I stepped forward, towards him.

I went straight to Eve’s room. 

“It seems you’ve forgotten how to knock now,” she exclaimed as I barged into her 

room. 

“Lucien is being so unreasonablel, I can’t believe that man!,” I yelled,plopping onto 

the sofa. 

“You still call him Lucien?,even though you’re not Luna?,” she asked,incredulously and I scoffed. 

“That’s not important right now!,where’s Rick?” 

“I left him with Greyson and Giselle. They adore him,he’s like the child they never had,” she said and I scoffed. 

“You know I still don’t trust them,” I pointed out. 

Until I was sure that Greyson was just a victim like Eve and understood what he was doing at the boys school,then I won’t trust him. I had promised Eve that I wasn’t going to confront him,but my patience was thinning out. 

Since It seems Rielle has Lucien wrapped around her arms, I don’t think he’ll be focused on getting my son quickly,I better act on my own.

“Why are you here?,” she asked and I sighed. 

“Give me a drink,please,” I said and she went to the refrigerator and came to meet me with a glass of wine. 

“Lucien doesn’t want us to go with Rick,” I revealed and she sighed. 

“I was actually scared of that happening,” she said and I scoffed. 

“Why exactly is he doing this?!,” I exclaimed,suddenly getting angry all over again. 

“Rick is his son,someone of utmost importance to him,of course he wouldn’t just let him go with you,” she said and I exhaled loudly. 

“We really need to leave,to meet this seer. To find out about this ‘power. We could even find out about other things, like who the father of Rielle’s baby truly is,who the leader of the blood creek is and any other thing we need to know,to find my child too,” I stated. 

“Yes,you’re right,we need to find out about all that. We could even ask her,who your father is,” she said and I nodded. 

With everything going on,I had forgotten that she had revealed that we were half sisters,that we didn’t share the same father, that her father had tried to murder me as soon as he found out that I wasn’t his. 

“But we can’t leave without Rick,” I pointed out. “We don’t want Lucien on our tails,hunting us like rogues. We have to do this right,” I said. 

“Well..Giselle is the only person I can think of,” she said and I sighed. 

I still couldn’t trust her. What if she and her husband were in it together and are plotting to take away Rick again. 

“Well…Alma…” 

“That Old woman that is barely able to stay awake for more than 30 minutes?,don’t go there or are you trying to make me laugh?,” she said and I sighed. 

She was right, leaving Rick with his paternal Greatgrandmother was equal to leaving him on his own. He’d be the other watching her instead of the other way round.

“We should keep him in Rielle’s care,” Eve suddenly blurted out and I stared at her. 

“What?,” I was shocked. 

The very same Rielle?,she wanted me to leave my son with the one who abducted him in the first place. 

“Think about it Amara. She’d have no choice but to make sure no harm comes to him since he was entrusted to her. It would be like entrapping her,” she said and I bit my lower l*ps as I thought about it. 

It would make much more sense to do that. I could tell her to do it as a favour after all she is Luna and Rick is Lucien’s son. I could also say that it was my way of trying to make peace with her. After all, what better way to make peace with someone if not entrusting your child with them?. 

“Sure!,it makes a lot of sense. Let’s do that. After all she’s the greater evil we fear,what other evil will attack whom she has no choice but to protect?,” I said and Eve nodded. 

“That’s settled then. You’d go speak to her later in the evening. We will have to leave in the morning,” she stated. 

I smiled and took a sip. After I’m done meeting the seer and finding out all I need to find, I’ll come back and make Rielle leave. 

“Amara,” Eve called out and I turned to face her.
