“Is he alive?” the young lady asked her mother, as she stared at the half dead man they found in the flowing waters early that evening.
Wherever the water had brought the man from, he seemed to be a powerful man from the injuries he had sustained, it looks like he got involved in a fight for survival and he looked really handsome.
“I wonder what happened to him” her mom said, as she applied the treatment to his almost lifeless body.
“Should we get the doctor?” she asked her mum calmly.
“You can’t call the doctor Anami. Do you want to get us into trouble? How do we even convince them that we found this man in the river this morning?” her mom asked anxiously.
“So what are we supposed to do? Watch him die without helping?” she asked, and the middle aged woman stared at her without saying anything.
What is she going to do about this handsome man? This is really mysterious and shocking, the middle aged woman thought.
“It’s against the pack laws to bring in a total stranger without the permission of the Alpha.” her mom explained to her daughter, and she rubbed her forehead.
“I know mom, but we couldn’t have left him there to die. For now he needs the services of a good doctor. We need to get someone to treat him or we are going to watch him die slowly. If he dies here, we will have to give the members of the pack and the alpha an explanation.” her daughter said in one breath, as her eyes moved over to the half dead man laying on the bed.

“Fine, I guess we have to get a doctor before things get out of hand. Stay here with him Anami, I will be
right back” Anami mother instructed her, as she made her way out of the room.
Anami stared at him as he lay on the bed. What could have happened to this man? What is his name? Did he have a family or someone important looking for him right now? she wondered, as she ran her fingers in his pale skin.
“Please don’t die, I will protect you and give you the happiness you deserve” she soliloquized, as she
held his hand in support.
Her mom returned after some minutes with an older lady, who had a sling bag on her shoulders.
“Give me space, let me see what is wrong with him” she declared, and Anami moved away from the bed.
“Hmmmn, this is a serious case” she said, loud enough for both the mother and daughter to hear. She
goes ahead to commence treatment on him.
“When will he wake up? Is he still alive?” Anami asked the doctor.
“Allow her to do her work and stop distracting her” her mother scolded her daughter, making Anami
shut her eyes tightly.
“I’m sorry mom” she muttered under her breath.
“He is a very strong man. It is still a surprise that he did not die from the amount of time he spent in that water” the doctor stated, as she sighed softly.

“Can I watch over him just for tonight?” she asked, with concern laced in her voice and her mom sighed.
“Is that really needed? The doctor said he will be fine Anami, you don’t have to be so worked up” she responded, and Anami bit her lower lip.
“It hurts me also to see him in this condition mom, it reminds me of …” Anami trailed, and sucked under her breath.
“He is not Colton, always remember that, so you do not hurt yourself in the process” Anami’s mum advise her, and Anami gave a nod as she wiped the tears that rolled out of her eyes. Her mom left her there to take care of him for the night.
She watched Xavier sleep calmly without saying anything. It’s been years since she lost Colton, she has never felt this way about anyone else, and now this mysterious man entered into her life at a time she did not expect to feel this way for anyone again.
She lost Colton during a pack war, and they never got to see his corpse because it was burned alongside others in the Alpha’s house. After the war, the Alpha of the Dark moon pack refused to let strangers into the pack. It is a necessary policy in order to make sure everything is under control, and things are in
order.
If anything happened, they would be aware and won’t be able to control it.She sighed, as she rubbed her forehead making a promise to herself to always protect him.
He is a stranger, and that means the people of the pack will see him as their enemy.

put us through” I replied to him, and he bent in front of me.
“We can only get there if you first of all; come to the term that people out there want to hurt you and
your kids. They will do anything to end Xavier’s name, this is the time when you have to sit up and
protect your children and yourself” he advised me, and his words got to me.
“Damien and Derrick need you, Xavier would never have wanted you to starve to death” he continued,
and my mind went back to the promise I made to Xavier.
“You are not a weak woman, you have never been one. And I will not sit back and watch you become
one now” he said, as smiled out tears.
“Thanks Jaxon, I would have acted on impulse if you were not with me during this tough time of I said, and he smiled.

“It pains my heart that I stood there and watched him do something like that to Xavier. But Xavier wanted me to protect you and the kids no matter what, we will get our revenge” Jax said, and I stared at him as rage boiled through my veins.

“We have a lot of work to do” I recounted, as I got down from the bed.
“None of them will go scot free Jaxon,not even my biological father” I concluded, as I smirked.
“That man deserves to pay for everything, especially for his dirty lies,” Jax muttered in anger.

“That man is nothing but a manipulator and a liar, Jax. Do you know what he did to me? I spent years
feeling grateful for the times he came through for me. Everything was staged, he entered my life at that time because somehow, he knew I was helpless and I didn’t have anyone. I don’t really know the details of what he is doing, and why he is even having an affair with Xavier’s aunt” I muttered, and the urge to throw up came immediately.
Even as in pictured them fucking eachother, it gives mechills. How and why is he having an affair with
that woman?
Xavier trusted aunt Maggie so much that he even considered her to be his biological mother. To think she was stabbing him from the back, is what even hurt more than anything in the world.
Different thoughts filled my head as I stood up from the room, trying to gather strength. What if Penelope finds out about Dad’s affair with aunt Maggie that day she went to end things with him, I thought as I walked down the stairs of Jax’s house.
It is now quite evident that my father is not just a manipulator, but he is also a murderer and a deceiver.
“I want you to get me an eye in the Red blood pack” I instructed, and he hummed.
“Tell them to make me something to eat” I instructed one of his maid, she nodded and left me to myself.
I miss Xavier with everything in me, and the thought of never meeting him again made Nala [my wolf] whimper in pain and the hurt of our bond breaking all over again is what is eating me up the most.
I freshened up and changed into a black dress, before making my way down the stairs.
“Mummy!” The children screamed excitedly, as they run over to me happily and engulfed me in a hug.
“Is everything okay mummy?” they asked curiously
“Yes, everything is fine” I responded, and they smiled.
“But….” Damien trailed, but Derrick gestured to him not to say anything.
“Your Daddy is no longer with us. Everything you saw at the pack was nothing but a reality” I explained to them, and they stared at me in shock.

“If you want to cry about it, it is ok to cry. But I just want to let you know that those people will not go free without paying for their evil deeds. All I want you to do for me is to be a strong boys, ok.” I said, as I

“I love you mummy” Derrick said, as he cried and Damien rubbed his back to soothe his pain. I shut my
eyes, as I try to control myself from crying all over again
“I hope you’re okay? Xavier, I hope you are not dead” I thought, as tears rolled out of my eyes.

Days turned into a week, and Anami spent nights with Xavier, taking care of him and trying to make sure he is really okay.
“When will you wake up? I want to know your name, your likes and dislikes…” Anami soliloquized, as
she smiled at him. Xavier moved his hand a little, and she stared from his hands to his face in shock.
He moved his hands again and she watched in shock as his
eyes fluttered open.
“Oh my goodness!” Anami exclaimed, as she ran out of the room to call her mom.
They called the nurse as they watched silently as she checked Xavier who just woke up from his unconscious state. Xavier sat down trying to figure out where he was, everything and everyone is looked confusing.
“Do you feel pain?” The nurse asked curiously.
“I just feel a slight headache, my throat is sore and …” he trailed off, before staring at the two women in
front of him.
“Where am I?” Xavier asked Immediately, and Anami stared at him in shock.
“Who am I?” he asked the next question, and that threw all of them in a state of confusion.
“What is your name?” The nurse asked, as he tried to remember his name his head banged with a

terrible headache.
“Don’t strain your brain too much, I think you should rest” the nurse advised, as he lay on his back to
rest.
“I can’t remember anything, I don’t know who I am or where I come from…” he trailed.
“There is no cause for alarm, just rest” she said, and he nodded his head as closed his eyes to rest and
the nurse stared back in their direction.
