Chapter 24: A Forbidden Attraction.

“I forbid you from fornicating with Kailow.”

Gaia shook in frustration when the loud voice of The True Maker echoed in the back of her head. She was at her breaking point. For two weeks, she had been alone with Kailow on this beautiful planet, and except for babysitting Thorax, they had plenty of time for themselves. They had been close to engaging in naked yoga on many occasions, but True Maker commanded her to stop when things got hot.

“Are you alright? We can stop if you want to,” Kailow said.

“No, I want you. This has gone on for long enough. I have free will, and if True Maker wants to stop me, she can claim control of my body. Enter me, so our souls can become one.”

Kailow looked at Gaia. She was as frightening as she was alluring when her eyes shifted from pastel blue to glowing blue while Gaia and True Maker wrestled for control over the body.

‘I need to sleep with this woman, even if it is the last thing I’ll do in my life,’ Kailow thought and entered Gaia.

As they were grinding in ecstasy, a bright flash of pure energy blinded Kailow. He regained his vision and looked at the beautiful woman under him. Her eyes had reverted to pastel blue, and she smiled at him with a blissful look. “Thank you for setting me free,” Gaia mumbled.

As Kailow had been a virgin before this encounter, he went full steam ahead, grinding and thrusting like a raging horse, and shortly afterwards, he came, his body quivered in ecstasy. He rolled over next to the sweaty and blissful Gaia, and together they panted in unison.

“Was it good for you as well?” Kailow asked.

“Yes, it feels amazing to be free from her presence, to have free will,” Gaia said, feeling wonderful but at the same time also feeling worried. If she lost her connection with True Maker, she would lose her immortality, and she could fail her mission to save humanity from extinction.

“I need to be alone for a bit. I need to reconcile what this means for my life.” Gaia said and got up.

Kailow looked at the beautiful female he had made love to just moments ago. He would let her make her choice, yet he hoped they would end up together.

Gaia walked away from Kailow, got seated under a waterfall, and allowed the streaming warm water to carry away the tears that flowed from her eyes.

“I forgive you.”

Gaia opened her eyes. In front of her stood a woman in her mid-fifties, who looked like an older version of herself. What was going on?

“Are you the True Maker?” Gaia asked.

The woman nodded and replied, “Yes. I realised that you struggled to connect with my spirit form, so I created a form that seems more motherlike to you. I am Ellen Hines, your mother in the 21st century, 70,000 years from now.”

Gaia shook her head and replied, “I like your spirit form better as this woman means nothing to me. While her genes match my future mother’s, she doesn’t exist yet, and we don’t have a connection.”

“I understand,” True Maker replied, snapped her fingers, and Ellen’s body evaporated into thin air.

“Woah, why did you kill her?” Gaia said.

“So, are you not angry because of me and Kailow anymore?” Gaia asked.

“Angry? I was never angry about your actions. But as your creator, I wanted what’s best for you. Your actions will cause you heartache, but they make no difference in the grand scheme of things.” True Maker replied.

“Thank you,” Gaia replied and got up.

She felt happy that True Maker had approved her relationship with Kailow. Without the supreme deity’s condemnation of her relationship, she would enjoy it as much as possible.

Kailow was enjoying a nap in the shade when something awoke him. His nephew approached him with a dead rabbit in his mouth. Yet, Thorax was only a year old; how could such a young toddler be able to hunt for prey?

“Oooncle, Thorax cwaatch rryyaabbit.” Thorax chirped while his purple eyes glittered in the sun, and fresh blood dripped from his fangs.

Kailow flinched away from the mutant toddler. He had been babysitting Thorax for three months, and he had never heard the child speak, yet now the child had killed a prey animal and said a complete sentence.

“Is oooncle maad at Thorax?” Thorax asked.

“Umm, no. I am just shocked. I didn’t know you could speak?” Kailow said.

“No speeeeaking before fyirst preyy. Thwwat’s the law.” Thorax replied.

“That’s not the law. Who told you that?” Kailow replied.

“Thwwat is the Xeno laaaw.” Thorax stated.

“Okay. Good kid, enjoy your catch.” Kailow said and got up in a hurry.

Kailow walked away from Thorax as the toddler feasted on the rabbit hungrily. Something was seriously wrong with the 1-year-old freak whom he was babysitting. He hoped that his sister would arrive with the Disyerto-2 settlers soon, as he couldn’t wait to leave the freaky child in someone else’s care.
